With the supply of Hoyt Buffalo limbs dwindling, I am curious if the other Formula limbs that will continue to be made are built to stand up to the (possible/probable) rigors of hunting. Will a Quattro limb explode if dropped or delaminate with a knock on a tree limb? I haven't had any experience with so-called target limbs, and hopefully someone who has will chime in. If my figuring it correct, a high 40# target limb will gain about 6 pounds when mounted on a 19"(buffalo) riser. That would make a dandy hunting set up, but only if the target limbs included Hoyt's ***legendary (allegedly) durability.
The Buffalo limbs are just Formula Excel limbs with a different graphic/film dip.
They'll hold up just fine.
I,ve hunted with the same quattro limbs for 2 years. In everything from 100 degrees to 10 degrees. very durable limb.
The quattros are a great limb. Uukha sells a formula adapter for their limbs. The uukha limbs are very quiet and smooth.
Your best bet is to buy a hoyt formula limbs and spray paint it camo like what Aron Snyder did.
Outstanding. Thanks for the replies. :campfire:
