Title: Catalyzed Urethane ?? Problem

Hey all,
Well, I've been spraying some catalyzed urethane lately, have finished about 6 bows with it so far and love it...

However, I am having issues with bubinga. I've sprayed, then had to sand down to bare wood, one riser 3 times! in the more porous areas of the riser, the pores are turning snow white!

I've been wiping the riser with laquer thinner before every session, but they sit in an 80 degree room for about 10-20 minutes before I spray..I "suspect" its the laquer thinner not drying all the way in the pores...hence, my next spray on this riser I'm not going to wash it down! But, just wanted to see if you guys have had any issues?

I have sprayed cocobolo, maple, walnut, ipe and the glass on the limbs Very successfully so far!

it might be you need to fill the open grains first.
some sealer is what you need to "close" the wood.
try CA glue that works very good.

Thanks Shantam...might give it a try...getting frustrating.

Any other ideas?
