Zero, zip, nada. Darn blacktails keep changing up on me. Pigs too. Just when I think I've got it figured. Could have shot many does too! But we can't do that here.

My friend george and i just got up at 0200 drove for 3 hrs to Los Padres Forrest....
We arrived at 0645 just in time to set up our blinds....
Butt guess what, at the intrance to the Park the road was block and sign, not the good Kind....
Park closed do to the dry conditions, so we had a nice 3 hr drive back home....
So much for the Montery Co Either Sex tag....
Oh well......Maybe next year.

I gave up.  This year was the first in about 5 years that I purchased a California hunting license.  And that was only for a rabbit hunting trip... during which I didn't see any rabbits other than the two in the campground.

great stuff bjorn..... looks like a fun trip...         santa cruz mtns. eh... hmmmm..

mike- lagrange looks like a cool little town... we pass through there every year, on our way to the strawberry music fest... seems like you would have some nice critters to hunt out there...

i've been dealing with a few injuries this year, but for the most part, i've only gotten a chance to hunt some small game....

there are some big critters around here... my buddy took a huge blacktail a couple seasons back...

A little luck for me last week: a blacktail and a hog. I was hunting for a week with my son. It was great time. If I had any computer brains I'd post some photos...but alas, I'm a dope.   :banghead:

Stay well.
