I had the time in the past week to make up some woodies. I wanted to try another way by using Rustoleom enamel spray paint and using Varathane stain and water base satin poly. So bare with me. I wanted to achieve a certain weight of arrow so there was some trial and error here.

Cresting was done with Testors acrylic model paint.
Nicely done.

I dipped one of clear coat after my yellow crown and a second dip after my cresting. My first dip is nock down, then my second and third dips are point down so the entire arrow is sealed.

I use 0000 steel wool on my arrows between clear coats but after my third and final coat I lightly sand with 220 grit sand paper then use 0000 steel wool to finish my arrow shaft.

I used Bearpaw fethers and Duco glue. I had minor issues with Bearpaw barred feathers but I made them work.

I accomplished my weight goal, total arrow weight with a 135 grain Zwickey Delta is 584 grains. And I want truly thank Mike Vines for his help.

Thanks everyone, Mike Vines deserves a lot of the credit. They are far from perfect but they are good enough for me and they fly great!
Very nice job. How did you like working with the Rustoleum enamel?
Really nice arrows, the colors remind of hornets, I wouldn't want to get hit by one of those.
Nice job there.
Deno
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much prettier than mine!

I done some tings slightly different then what I seen on your build along Mike. I did 2 coats of the Rustoleum with 48 hours between coats. The 48 hour dying time is a mandatory thing before moving onto the next step too. I did three dips of poly but used sand paper after the 3rd dip, then 0000 steel wool. For some unknown reason, the barred yellow Bearpaw feathers that I was using had a uneven grind on them. I never had that from Bearpaw. It took some work but I got them on there just fine. Thanks again Mike.
I also used Varathane stain and polyurethane because it's a Rustoleum products. I wanted everything to be compatible.
Very nice
Beautiful arrows
Sweet arrows. Nice work
Well done! They are very nice looking! Bet they are easy to see in flight and in the target too!
Nice!!!

Yes they are easy to see but was amazing was how much more quieter they was than carbon arrows and how they hit with a THUMP! I truly don't think I will ever go back to shooting carbons.

Nice work,...
Very nice job. Good colors.
Very nice!
