Well all loaded up and out the door in the morning. I was the lucky winner for the St.Jude hog hunt donated by Mule Creek Outfitters in Tx's.
I am going to have some help along to drag the Hogs(I hope), My son and son in law are going with me.
I attended the Texas Sweat Hog hunt some years back, met a great bunch of Guys and had a very nice Hunt.
Will try and get some photos up when I get back.
Maybe another one or two like this guy.

Sorry for the time laps in getting Back to this.
We picked up our grub and arrived about noon. We met our host Jacob at the new bunk house in progress.

After getting our gear ready we headed out to see the area we were given for this hunt, a measly 7,000 acre tract. (three hunters)
At the second spot I could not take it eny longer and had them leave me at this spot.

They went on there way to look at the rest of the set up area.
I corned the area and had just got set up for my wait for evening. 30 min later I had a sow and 6 nice 40# or so tag a longs. mom was thin so I decided I would try for the BBQ size. they were buzzing around after corn, just could not get one singled out.
About that time I hear the wind mill start to turn and mom blew out of there. they took off all but one and he just went a shot distance and stopped, my chance, nothing but air, right over his back.
I had another group come in later but the wind was wrong for the direction they came from.
Just after Dark I got a text from my son,( hog shot) will pick you up in 15min to help track)
Was not much of a tracking Job, only went about 60 yards.
More to come!
:campfire:
Enjoying it. Tuned in for the rest of the story.
The next day we started settling in to our schedule for the week. sleep till 9am, head out to check the areas we had corned the day before & see what areas had been hit & re corn them. The full time we were there all sites had been cleaned up each night.
Along the way we spent a lot of time chasing the abundant population of Jackrabbits, it was great fun.( if you go take large amounts of Blunts )My son in law with one of his.

These hogs are mostley late evening and night hunting so take a light for you bow.
Will get more piks loaded for tonight
Well better get this finished up.
I enjoyed getting to the blinds a little early just to see a little of the other animals in the area. These guys were ever present at the tanks and ponds.

We also saw a lot of the road runners, which we have back home, but we don't see but very few. (http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/bfreese_2010/017_1.jpg)
We Were able to take one more hog on the last night. Jesse ( soninlaw ) smoked all the meat when we got back home.
Jacob at Mule Creek Outfitters took very good care of us, check in each day, brought more corn as needed, hauled the remains off each time it was needed.
I would like to thank them for Donating this hunt to St. Jude.
If you are in the market for a hog hunt, you won't find nicer people to hunt with.
Thanks Jacob & John
Sounds like an awesome time!
