When i hurt my shoulder trying to do a hooey floppen off the top of my ladder a couple of years ago, I found that starting my  draw with my forearm against my chest and keeping things rather close, while doing a higher modified swing spread draw and doing most of the draw with my bowarm, i took a lot of pressure off of the ailing shoulder.  My regular swing draw  has the bow arm rather close now that things are feeling better.

No, I hold the bow arm straight out pointing at the target and draw my string arm straight back to my mouth, while keeping the tip of the arrow centered on the spot I want to hit. I anchor with middle finger in the corner of my mouth.

Swing Draw pretty much the same  as John Shulz teaches. Raise my bow arm and pull the string on the way up with string arm close to chest.  Arrow comes up right on target (pre selected spot) at full draw and release.

I start with the bow in front with elbows bent and pull with my string hand while pushing with my bow arm.

But I practice a locked bow arm swing as well.  That's faster on bunnies.
