Howdy! I'm a new member to your site. Been a "lurker" on various sites for many years. I Shoot a black widow recurve which recommends heavier arrows than most bows, thus been shooting Easton fmj arrows. Problem lies that they tend to slide out of my bolt on and strap on quivers.
Tiny bungee cords work ok but still rattle at the shot. Any ideas?
Hey man. Not sure what quiver you use but my thunder horn strap ons work fine. I've even used deep6 arrows and victory. My fmj work fine with mine.
Selway has a gripper that works for them that I have used on mine. Give them a call
X2 on selway quivers give them a call drew will fix you up great customer service and quivers are built to last
Great Northern has a gripper for FMJ's also,,, plus if you go with 3" heads they have a longer hood also. the GN style will keep the fletching close together which I prefer and the selway style quivers will have the fletching spread apart,, check some pics out of both.
For a simple inexpensive solution, I use "rainbow loom" rubber bands. (If u have young kids u know what these are). My daughters have 1000's of these. Double them over, and put one on each slot. Holds FMJ's nice and snug

X2 for Great Northern
I have a Bear 7 arrow bolt on and the grippers are mighty small for my woodies. Thought about trading it off if you are interested.
Big Jims 2 piece work with my FMJ's
You just have to find one with the correct size grippers for the arrows. Many vendors offer different size grippers. When I used a bow mounted quiver, it was always a GN!
Bisch
I've had a couple of quivers that didn't grip my Deep Six shafts (very thin). I put tiny pieces of velcro on the inside jaw of each gripper. Solved the problem.
Our grippers will work with the FMJ and axis shafts, but Chris's idea of using the "loom" rubber bands works great as well, if you are having issues with one of our quivers I'd be more than happy to help!
Drew
If I remember correctly Drew showed me his quiver in Kzoo and he is shooting the really skinny Black Eagle shafts. If his gripper held those shafts. They'll hold FMJ's with no issues!
I had a good conversation with Drew in Kzoo, he's a straight up guy and I am sure he'll take core of your needs!

Small rubber bands connecting between the arrow gaps of the gripper works well. If you can't find them locally we have some.
I can confirm that at least the 6mm FMJs work with Selway Quivers

thanks for the input guys. I will change some accessories around and see what works. The quiver on my "widow" is a Hunters Niche which works fine on normal sized arrows. I stubbornly tried to use one quiver for each bow and never tried swapping. Tunnel vision can be frustrating at times. Thanks again!
