My dad is retiring from teaching next year (2018) after 34 years. The wife and I want to give him a Hog hunt as a retirement gift. It is something he has said he wanted to do for years. I would like your opinions and references as to places, outfitters, and anything other suggestions a couple of first time Midwest boys need to know. I'm just starting this search and have only ever been on 1 guided hunt Prarie dogs, that was set up by someone else for a wedding party I was a member of. All suggestions are appreciated because is is safe to assume I know nothing. Thanks.
Wild Things is pretty popular. I think its in South Carolina, and is mentioned pretty often here, as theyre a sponsor, dedicated to trad bow hunting

If you're interested in coming to Texas I know a great place. Feel free to PM me.
Thanks guys
Irv's Hog Camp. Irv is a sponsor here and although I've never hunted hogs with him, he is a first rate person and personal friend. Give him a jingle. He will be glad to answer ant questions you may have.
Irv X2
Went down a couple weeks ago and hunted with Irv. Cannot be beat for an inexpensive hunt. Irv knows his hogs and put me on plenty. There are other places if you are willing to spend $$$$$, but hunting hogs with Irv is the best deal I've found.
Feel free to PM or email me with questions.

Hunted with Irv in Florida and at Wild Things and both are top notch.
Shiloh Ranch in Oklahoma specializes in archery hog hunts. Be aware that it is a fenced operation but is stocked with locally trapped hogs that are wild. They are a popular destination with people on bowsite. I have never hunted there but everything that I have read about them has been positive.
