I think Ray Charles could have followed this blood trail,, the blood was almost two feet wide and the tree truncks were just splattered with blood as he passed them. These pics were taken by Kevin 5 hours later.

Good Job Buf! Tell us the story!
Can I start??? Great job bud! Looks like someone was using a paint brush on those trees. Now we have to wait for the story....
A big congrats :clapper:
I'll be down your way for a few hours today, then back up north. Only 4 work days to go- then I'm off to Missouri.........
Well alright Jason!
Nice deer, now we need details. Good job on a fine animal.
It was a perfect morning with a heavy frost. The moon was bright, the wind gentle,in one of my favorite ground blinds,, everything seemed right up to this point in the hunt.
At first shooting light I see a flicker of movement behind a youg blue spruce and out steps this nice little buck. He's not in shooting range yet and he is quatering tword me ,,he moves about three more steps and now is about 20 yrds and he also turned more braudside but a slight quarter.. I anchor and let it loose,,
What kind of broadhead and bow? I like equipment specs. Congratulations!
Whoa, hoss!!! Either you're a little bitty fella  or else that buck has a good sized body on him. Could be I'm used to blacktails, but that looks like a great deer to me. Congrats!
It was the ST. judes RER Litte River,,This bow has some mojo for sure. She is 53#@28" shooting an arrow dynamics carbon tipped with a snuffer,,total arrow weight is around 500 grains give or take,,I've never weighed them just added up weight by calculator,,J
Now thats a blood trail.
Awesome work J!! Glad to see it all worked out, for ya!
Can't wait to hear the story around the campfire or a maybe a new song?
:notworthy: :archer: :clapper:
Alright Jason!!! Way to put the shwammy on him!
Awesome Jason!! Congrats again buddy!! I look forward to hearing the story in person this weekend!!
well done , congrats :0)
Congrats on a fine buck!
The shot sounded great with that chesty thud but I never made eye contact with the arrow and its placement,, my feather selection just doesn't seem to be brite enough for first light. I listen to him crash off, arrow hitting all sorts of brush and then I heard him crash through the almost impenatrable edge this swamp has to it., Now he has gone about 100 yrds in about 5 seconds, I'm thinking oh-boy,, Never heard him go down,, so I knock another arrow and try and relax and let the shakes stop. I always get the shakes after the shot, sometimes they are real bad and sometimes mild. I'd say they were mild this timeon the other hand, The doe I missed with the Little Delta Bow,,They were a ten on the rector scale,,it took a few min. to calm down after that shot. Be back later..
Great job
I sat till the frost started to burn off that morning. I was blessed to watch a doe about 30 yrds from me eating acorns. Started to track him and right when he turned around the blood was right there for all to see and there was alot of it. I trailed the blood right to him. He piled up on a deer trail inside the swamp. He went about 150 yards and the arrow was still in him.J
Congrats again bud!
That really was some bud trail fellas, one of the best that I have ever followed. I don't think the deer had an ounce of blood left in him!
Jason is not that small of a guy, that deer has a decent body to him, I was laughing the whole way out of the swamp as I was snapping photos of the brute carrying his prize home
Great job again Jason!!
Kevin.
Way to Go Jason. :clapper:

Congratulations! Beautiful Michigan buck!
That is indeed the type of blood trail we all hope for.
Good shooting! Enjoy!
Waay to go little fella :bigsmyl:
save some jerky for me!!!!!!
Oof-Da is about the ONLY thing I could say when I tried to hoist a deer onto my shoulders. Now, I am a strong gal, but I have decided that it is safer to drag them out than carry them. :bigsmyl:
Goin' to camp this Saturday. :jumper:
,,LOL,,Good luck Killdeer.
It's ganna cost ya Stevey,,LOL,, :jumper:
