A little late posting pics, but here we go. I had made a thread a while back that I had ordered a new Black Widow. I ordered the PCH 60'' long and 50lbs@29'' in the Graybark pattern. I got it probably a month ago, and so far I'm absolutely loving it. I had the laser overlays added on the top and bottom limbs, with the fighting bucks on the top limb and the prayer on the bottom.
I had went back and forth about whether to put my name on the bow. This is the coolest part of it for me..my Dad was an avid hunter, but never bowhunted. When I first started bow hunting years ago, he'd always crack jokes and say stuff like "boy you better leave that bow at home and get your rifle, I never saw any fat Indians". It rocked on for years with us joking back and forth about the whole fat Indians thing, but then I started killing some deer with my bow (compound) and one day he told me, "ok I take it back, you may have been a fat Indian".
Well I lost my dad unexpectedly going on 3 years ago. I can only imagine all the laughs we'd have if he'd been around to watch my journey into traditional archery. So when I had my bow made, I couldn't help it. I had them add the name "Fat Indian" on my bow. Anyway, like I said, so far I'm loving it and hope to have lots of adventures with this bow. I have an exotic hunt coming up in a couple weeks, so we'll see how it goes. I am shooting this bow really well. In the meantime, I've already broken the ice with a squirrel!!

Super sweet looking bow. I'm tempted to order up a widow since bob lee is jerking me around with my hunting bow. I like that greybark camo

Very nice!! And a great story and memory...
I like that reference/memory of your Dad. That PCH with 60" limbs is surely a smooth drawing rig!
My Dad hunted deer with rifle only. He was always amazed that I could deer with a bow. He thought the deer must be "tame" during bow seasons.
Great looking bow...and love the story behind it's name!
Really nice bow....but I enjoyed that bit of your family history probably more. Thanks for opening up and sharing with us.
Great looking bow and love the story...
what a nice way to honor the memory of your dad. Great looking bow too!
Thanks y'all. I'm really enjoying it!! Only bad thing is I'm going to have to find a second job. I can't help but think I need a Black Widow longbow to match it....
Cool dad you had
