Title: Tall Tines Limb Question
Post by: TexasTrad on January 13, 2017, 03:31:00 PM
For you Tall Tines owners:

Are Tall Tines limbs tillered for a particular riser or can they be interchanged?

Also, if a set of limbs are 52# on the 16 inch riser, what would the draw weight be on an 18 inch riser?  I am thinking the limbs would be lighter on the 18 inch riser.

They are interchangeable from one recurve to another anyway.

I bought a set of 48# limbs for my 55# recurve and they fit perfectly.

But call Brian, it's a good reason to talk with a great guy.

Ha!  Just trying to find a lighter set of limbs for my Tall Tines.  I love this bow -- just don't want to shoot 3d with 60 lbs.

For the most part interchangeable.  Generally will lose 2-3# going to the longer riser, depending on the original draw weight.

I recently bought a 16" riser and long limbs for a 62" bow from Brian. I asked for something in the 50 lb at 31" range just for hunting. He had a riser and limbs available that were 44 lb at 28" and he said it should be smooth at my draw, they turned out 51 lb at 31". I asked if it was tillered for 3 under, he said don't worry just set the nock at 7/16" and you will be fine. He was spot on. Wow what a sweet shooting smooth bow!!!!!! I always shot 64" bows at my draw but this is one shooting machine!!!! Going to order another.
