Hey everyone I was looking into going to the expo and was wondering if anyone else here is going. I've never been before and was wondering how it was and if it's worth the 6 hour drive for me! Thanks
I attend nearly every year but if I had never attended and drove six hours I would be glad I made the trip. And now you can bring your bow along and shoot a very nice indoor 3d range. I don't think you will be disappointed.
It is a blast. Last year was my first year going, and it was absolutely worth the drive. The 3D shoot was a ton of fun, and I got to meet a lot of really great people. I highly recommend you go. You won't be disappointed!
I made the drive when I lived in Illinois. All of us need to attend shows like this if we can. It takes our participation if we want to keep seeing stuff like this.
It's a great time lots to and do. If you
like traditional archery you will like this.
It is a must see .
Don't go it will cost you a bunch of money just to get back out the door. My wife says I can do my own Christmas shopping when I'm down there just like a kid in a candy store but better toys.
Haha ok great it sounds like I'll make the trip. My wife will be coming along also and hoping to do the wine tour
Weather permitting I plan to go and get myself a good beat down in the 3d shoot. Good time!
My wife and I love the Kalamazoo Expo. Definitely worth the trip.
This will be my first time attending also.
I drive from Pa every year.
Drove 8 hours to go for the first time last year. Absolutely worth the drive!!
You won't regret the trip. Other than you may spend to much money. :biglaugh:
Hey Jon. I live in Kzoo so for me it's a 15min. drive. That being said, I would not hesitate to drive 6 hrs. for an event like this. Here's a tip. Make sure you and your wife go to Bell's Eccentric Cafe or Food Dance cafe. They are only blocks from one another right downtown. If you have never been to downtown Kzoo, you will be amazed.
My wife and I had a great time last year. I am looking forward to seeing Kalamazoo again. We made the drive up from Oklahoma.
At the Traditions Leathercraft booth I'll be showing off a bunch of new items and all my handcrafted leather goods again.
I hope to meet you there!
I'm going to decide in the next day to make the flight to Detroit and go with my buddy Jared. Seems nuts to spend $hundreds on a flight to go shopping to spend hundreds more I'm sure. Anyone feel like twisting my arm? I really want to go......
Great. Can't wait to see everyone there!
4 of us driving up from west central Indiana...a 5 hour drive. Always a good time! It will be kind of a maiden voyage for the 2 new knees for me. Really looking forward to it!
I haven't attended as a vendor for about four years and I really miss it. It doesn't work into my work schedule very well and I can't seem to build up enough inventory. However, I will be back soon, I hope. I miss the many friends I see there.
Go, you won't regret it. Chad
Is anyone else shooting in the 3D tournament? I'm going to have fun and see how bad I get spanked lol
See you guys there, I'll be up all weekend.
I'll be going again this year. It's always a great time. I might stay for two days this year.
Bob Brumm has some great things going this year. Be sure to look into the 3-D shoot and a wine tasting tour if your wife wants to get away for a bit or you I guess. Great speakers as always. Check out everything on the website.
See you all there

Be there Saturday. Going to fling a few arrows out of something new that is coming back to Grand Haven with me. Meet a few like minded archers..And just check out everything else.
rat'
How many here are shooting in the 3D shoot?
I'm going to attempt to fling a few and get shown how to shoot by some of you lol
It's a blast. Keep an eye on the weather though. A few years ago I drove 3hours on a Sunday in a snowstorm just to find out half the vendors just packed up and left because of the storm. I understand why tbey did but to all of us that drove in that bad weather to see their products it was a kick in the face. I was pissed and I don't think whoeverer was in charge made the right decision. Also they still charged 10 bucks to get in and most the vendors left lol. That's my only complaint in all the years I've gone. So just watch the weather so you don't waste your time.
J.Holden and I may be going this year.
