I finished my bow last April but due to this interference called "work" I didn't get to my arrows and quiver until the last month. Making target arrows and huntin' arrows could become addictive! The quiver is from synthetic material due to not having harvested a critter yet!

Very nice.
I have the same problem, that darn "work" thing can really screw things up. :biglaugh:
Lookin good! Red Oak?
BamBooBender
Thanks! Its a hickory-backed Red Oak, 68", 55#@31", Ferret's webpage plan. I don't know much about arrow spine, etc. yet. These are assembled from cedar shafts, Magnus broadheads, nocks and feathers from Gander Mtn.
Bow looks good to me. My little brother killed a deer with one just like it about 12 years ago made from the same plans only it was made of hickory.
Good luck with your new homemade stuff. We'll be waiting for the story and hero pic.
Sweet! Hope you have a great season.
You are gonna bust some buttons when you harvest some "natural material" with that set! Very nice work, good hunting!
Killdeer
Thanks for your kind words, Killdeer and Ferret! I am always amazed by the quality and craftsmanship displayed by the members on this site. I have recently gone hunting for the first time in twelve years. This weekend I get to go again!

What kind of material is that you are using for the strap on your quiver?
It's a jute strap I discovered at Walmart. I was looking for something more natural looking and found a roll of this strapping when my wife made me go to Walmart. I decided to wrap it around the quiver rather than cut that amount.
YIKES!.. "55#@31" thirty-one inches....what are you like 6'5" ?? :)
all looks good to me...good luck.
Nice! Nothing like the feeling of making and using your own.
Hey, Hickstick. I am only 6'2" but have a 6' 5" wingspan!
