ok its the rookie again, i have been shooting lots of arrows at alot of different weights, lengths, and diamaters. my bow is 58" and 55# at 28" draw. what would be an arrow in yalls opinion that would be a good fit. carbon or aluminum? i have not yet got into the whole wood arrow thing yet, im sure i will one day once i feel comfortable.
oh yah, so far a 4560 carbon arrow has been my best shooters so far. thanks ahead for yalls info.
The CE 45/60's are great arrows. A 2018 should work well for you also.
is the 2018 aluminum?
Yes 2018 is aluminum. I had good success with 2115 aluminums out of my first recurve that was 55#@28".
Ya left out how long YOUR draw is. My guess was a 2016 or 2018 loonyum arra.
Killdeer :campfire:
I shoot both 2115 and 2018 out of my Pronghorn 60inch, 58@26". The arrow shafts are cut to 28 inches bop. They fly like darts! for me! :-)
Thanks, and my draw is in between 29 and 30 inch.
With a draw like that, at least a 2018... or even a 2117.... "loonyum".
thanks blackhawk
I've had good luck with 2215 aluminum at that weight.
I shoot 53# @ 30" use a 2216 at 31 1/2"
you are most likley at 60 to 61# at your 30" draw and 58# at 29" you will need around a 30 to 31" arrow. I would not go any lighter spine 2117 and would most likley try a 2216
I shoot about the same set up and draw and use 31" beman 400 mfx carbon with 220 gr points.
I have a 29" draw, and out of a bow that pulls 57# I really like Carbonwood 4000's with 250 up front.
thanks everybody
