I'm new to the sport and on an impulse purchased a W&W black wolf as my first bow..all that carbon was too luring. Firstly I will say the riser is excellent, finish is spot on,it looks and feels quality, before my purchase I had read many reviews and was aware the Rcx 17 riser in this kit is Chinese made, mine is of the quality and finish the reviews had reported. To my surprise when first assembling the bow there is the clear made in China print on the limbs, this suprised me as all the posts and reviews on this bow had stated the limbs where Korean and of usual W&W quality. I'm no expert or bower, but a close look at the finish of the limbs left me very disappointed. First there is severel milky blemishes on the limbs finish, on one you can make out a fingerprint. Second the limb tips are very poorly finished, The limb tips are a different shape to each other one is noticeably longer and thinner than the other, the string grooves are uneven and not square. All in all they look very "backyard made" .I have a set of lower poundage Kaya k1 limbs I bought second hand with the bow for backyard use, and the kaya k1 finish on the limb tips is what you would expect and so much better than the W&W. Even the fork for the tiller bolts is not as well finished as the entry level kayas. Considering these limbs would retail for around $400( LAS has W&W made Carbon wood limbs that look pretty much the same for $399) I am surprised W&W with the reputation they have would allow for this drop in quality standards. Hopefully they are replaced by the retailer and this is an isolated case, but in future I will be nervous about W&W limbs that come out of China.

I'm sorry, I don't know what W&W stands for either. That being said, most of us, not all, do try and support our local bowyer's. I'm sure you must have a good one in Australia and if you don't, there are plenty on this sight.
The fit and finish on my bows are pretty much perfect and, some of them are pretty old. So I personally, I would not put up with anything less.

But for those of us that like to shoot ILF... we need more local bowyers making their awesome limbs in ILF!! I like options and ILF makes options available.
Cheers for the welcome guys, there is some local bowyers and we have some bueatiful local timbers here as well. My thoughts on ilf to start with is to find my ideal draw weight, ilf limbs are ultimately cheaper than complete bows.. I need to find my way through ( hears a new one for you) beginners paradox. Then I will definately look at something custom.
I bought a lobo riser (same as black wolf) just different grip and a set of TT RC extreme limbs made by W&W
The finish on them is top notch and the combo makes for a killer setup very happy with it
Sorry to hear about your problem. I have a pair of Titan Black Max 2.0 ILF limbs made by W&W. I also recently purchased a set of W&W RCX 100 limbs. The RCX limbs are made in Korea. I did notice a small spot on the belly of one limb (about the size of a pencil eraser) where there appears to be a laminate coating that didn't completely seal in the center of the limb, just above the pocket taper. I've been completely happy with my limbs though and I think it's just cosmetic. If you purchased your bow through LAS, I would contact them and see if you can return the limbs. Their customer service is top notch!
I purchased a W&W Black Wolf early in 2016 from LAS and a friend of mine also got one, but from a dealer in Australia ($100 cheaper than LAS DELIVERED to his door in the US !). Neither had anything on the limbs about China and at the time, the W&W website stated the limbs were made in Korea. Both bows have perfect finish...handles and limbs. No issues here.
I wonder if the change to China for limbs is something recent?
Net, I would not accept limbs with those kinds of issues. Talk to the dealer and get replacements, or return the bow.
I looked at a Black Wolf riser the other week at LAS. It was a beautiful looking riser. I haven't tried the new Winn and Winn limbs yet but I've heard very good things about them. That company has a long history of making exemplary archery equipment. I can say this. Having been a very long time customer of LAS I can guarantee they will take care of any issues you might have. Their service is first rate.
Just to clarify, I didn't buy the Bow through LAS I only mentioned their product as they appear to be the most similar limbs to the black wolf kit limbs. I would assume a company like LAS would have checked the bow before sending it. I am in contact with my supplier and they have contacted win & win to find a resolution. In the mean time I'm just trying develop my form and get my head around bow and arrow tuning.
