I've just seen a show/infomercial for HECS body suits. They claim to block the electrical signals the human body emits, which I mostly believe. They also claim that animals will not sense you at all when you wear it, which I'm not sure I believe. It seems awesome, but maybe a little too awesome.
Has anyone tried it? Or know anything more about it?
I have seen that as well. If it isn't BS it is an interesting concept. Traditional?
Gets deeper and deeper into that question... at what point do we swing the odds of fair play into our own court, making it more and more of a sure thing to defeat, thru technology, the age honed senses of the animals we pursue?
To some, this question is moot.... so what ? Whatever it takes to win.
To others, makes one think.
I could see your point... if it works that well, you have to decide if you feel good about using it or not I guess.
First, welcome to Tradgang!
Second, this topic comes up from time to time on this, and other online hangout spots. I don't usually pay them much mind, but you can probably find more with a google search than asking here. Most guys here probably would actively choose not to use the suit even if scientifically shown beyond all doubt that it works.
Stickbows are hard, and I like it that way. I use a boom stick when it's time to fill freezers.
As long as people are willing to spend their money there will always be gadgets available that claim to make hunting easier.
So far it seems to appeal to quite a few people. I like the hunting experience too much to "make it easier". I like overcoming the challenges encountered on my own.
Welcome to TradGang!!!
Please don't take this wrong but this is too far outside the realm of Traditional Bowhunting.
We've had to draw the lines on lots of over the top items that are not to the savor of the forum.
I hope you understand and continue to enjoy the site.
