Hey Gang, I am considering traveling away from home this year to attend a 3D Trad event. If you could go to one event this year what would it be? Preferrably in the upper 48. Thanks,
Jason
IBO Trad Worlds. You will have a blast!
ETAR......
CTAS High Country Shoot of course. Colorado.
Depends on what you are looking for. The Pre-Spring Arrow Fling and the Howard Hill (both in McCalla, AL) are lots of fun. The TN Classic and the IBO Traditional Worlds (both near Clarksville, TN at the Twin Oaks club) are a couple of the larger and most competitive traditional shoots I know of. For sheer size and number of vendors, the ETAR. If you are in a hurry to get to one, Kalamzoo is the first I know of but it's all indoors. Compton's, Cloverdale, the KY Tradfest, TBOF State Shoot...it's like tater chips...you can't stop with just one!
TN classic or Compton in Michigan. Been to both and both are winners.
Tell me about the ETAR. I don't mind competiveness, but I'm more interested in the wow factor as I will be taking my son.
What Jon Stewart said, along with the High Country in Colorado.

TBOF shoot at The Canyons Ocala FL Jan 21,22. Great place and youth friendly also.

Tennessee classic
Thanks for the response and for those that emailed me as well. I think I am going to go to the IBO Worlds in Tennessee.
Anyone else here planning on going?

CTAS X3
Ill be at the Worlds again this year, if all goes as planned. Loved every minute of it last year
ETAR. Been going for almost 20 years now
Tennessee Classic. Great traditional shoot and if you are into wood bows, etc. there are lots of wood bow shooters and lots of selfbow building and flint knapping going on in the bow building shed.
Pappy has added info for this spring or will soon in the Trad Shoots and Events section.
ETAR is set up at an old ski resort. There are a bunch of different courses that work up, down and around the terrain. Each course has a lot of targets. Lots of traditional vendors and a great atmosphere.
