anyone have a cheap way to make a paper tuning stand or what you have used? thanks alot

I don't have a picture but I made one from PVC piping once.
It was basically a rectangle about 3'x2' (tall) with inverted T-legs I made it so the center of the frame was at shoulder height on me. I didn't glue it together so it could come apart for storage or transport.
I've also simply cut a large square hole in both sides of a large cardboard box and taped wrapping paper over the front. Quick and cheap.

I had an old rifle target stand made from 1x2s bolted together. I would just stick it in the dirt since the place I was shooting had really sandy soil. It took a couple bullets as I was developing cast loads for an old 30-30 & subsequently broke. Now, I keep it around for paper tuning arrows by putting a giant binder clip on the busted section. I just use whatever I happen to have around to hold it in the back yard -- cinder block, an old boot, whatever. But I've found bare shafting to be much more reliable for me (and less to setup) so I mostly just do that. Between that & just standing 6' in front of my straw bales, I get a pretty good look at how straight the arrows are coming out.

Bag sits on top one end of plywood, frame on the other
I made up a quick, disposable one using a big cardboard box. Just cut a big square hole in the front and back of it,taped my sheet of paper over the hole, stood the box on end and shot away.
I have used an aluminum step ladder...just tape the paper on

Find an old realtor sign. They're usually metal and there lots of them around. Then you have a solid frame to tape paper onto. I took one and cut the bottom off so it's flat. I set that on my block target and it works well.

Big box here too. Perfect time to find one after the holidays when people put the big TV boxes and such out in the trash.
I got an old flip board easel from a garbage bin, works great
watch schools, office buildings etc.
X 4 on the cardboard box. Cut out front and back and taped newspaper to cover the front. Cheap and easy and quick to replace.
I use my glassing tripod as a stand. I built a frame out of 1x2s and bought an extra quick release plate for my tripod head and screwed it to a small section of 2x2 on the bottom of the frame. Quick and easy.
I did the PVC job and only glued some of the pieces together so I can take it down into pieces that are all in one plane. Made the mistake of buying a newsprint "end of roll". That stuff is like tissue paper and I can't get clean tears on it. Need to get some brown wrapping paper instead. I made the stand so I could put the roll of paper on the top cross-bar and just pull it down as needed. Great in theory if the paper had worked out.
I hang a roll of freezer paper on a rope. Roll down about 18 inches and clamp the roll with a spring clamp and then place a spring clamp on each bottom corner to keep it hanging tight. All I gotta do for more paper is just unroll some more.
