Turkeys have been that one species I can't close the deal on for several years. At least with traditional/archery equipment.
That changed today, I shot what appears to be a Jake.

As I found it:

I was heading out from a deer hunt, a frustrating one at that! I'm going to make a separate post on this topic. As I was walking out I heard some clucks and hunkered down...I continued hearing turkey noises so I snuck up the draw and peaked my head over the top, a whole flock of turkeys! They were headed over the rise too. I waited until one of them present of the shot and couldn't be more happy!
I have been blessed enough this year to now harvest three new species with my tradbow
Nice work Mike!
I shot just over of a turkey this year. First time I have even been able to get a shot off. It was exhilarating even though I missed. Smart birds! Good Job!
You just don't stop do you lol
Big congrats brother!
Nice shot....you are on a roll.
Excellent harvest...congrats!
Love those turkeys.
I have been longing for a fall turkey with the stick bow. Congrats to you!
Good for you, hope you didn't take a frontal shot!
(I'm kidding, of course)

Good job. I wish I could. Seeing one up close would go a long way toward that goal though.
Way to get it done Michael, congrats! Feel free to mail me the birds left wing :biglaugh:
Good shooting! Somebody beat me to the frontal shot thing!
Congrats. They don't stand still long enough to hit.

It was so afraid of my TallTines it just died on the spot!
What's this about not being able to stock turkeys? That's terrible...but probably a lot safer. And BTW it doesn't show it in the picture but I was wearing blaze orange since it is rifle season here
Good deal, congrats!
Congrats sir! Keep up the good work!
Great shooting. They aren't easy to kill with Trad gear thats for sure.
Congrats Michael!!
Michael, I sent you a reply but your pm box is full.
Need to break my own curse. Have harvested 34 with the stick, yet have never taken a gob in the fall.
Have committed not to release this season unless I encounter a gob. So far still holding to the commitment.
Great work Michael!!!
Congrats bud! Glad it wasn't a frontal shot. ;)
