Happy Holidays to all!!
If you've been thinking of buying a copy of "A Traditional Bowhunter's Path: Lessons and Adventures at Full Draw," now is your time!
With the Christmas Season afoot, I thought I'd run a special offer.
Everyone who purchases a book from www.TraditionalSpiritOutdoors.com (http://www.traditionalspiritoutdoors.com) between December 1st and 20th will have an opportunity to win either the knife or quiver described below.
When checking out, just type TradGang in the "order notes" section. This will automatically put your name in the "hat" for the drawing.
Also remember that 10% of every sale goes to either conservation or promoting archery. In the "order notes" simply indicate Backcountry Hunters & Anglers or National Archery in the Schools Program.
Here are a few quotes from folks who have read the book.
"Best book on traditional archery to date. It covers a lot of material and is well written, if you get a chance it is a must read."—Connor from Pennsylvania
"The introduction alone is worth the price of the book."—Mike from Virginia
"I confess, I was reading another book at the time yours arrived. But, I couldn't put yours down..."—Bob from New York
"Just finished it up, and enjoyed every page. A great read."—Ryan from Texas

The knife is a very well made custom with a maker's mark of CNY. It has a 4 ¾" stainless steel blade and 5" antler handle. The sheath is heavy leather and stitched with leather lacing. It is new and has never cut so much as a slice of cheese!

The quiver is really something special. I won this in a 3D competition about 5 years ago and said I'd never part with it...well things change and I thought it would be nice for someone else to enjoy it. I only used if for display and never took it afield. It is a basket quiver handcrafted by Bob Halpin who passed away in 2009. Bob was well known for making beautiful Adirondack packs, creels, and quivers by using traditional basket weaving techniques. This quiver has 5 plastic arrow tubes that can be removed if you'd rather not use them.

I just ordered but I don't need to be in the drawing. The book is enough.
Thanks for this reminder.
Thanks, Roy!
I just sent you a note.
Ron
Just ordered, look forward to reading the book. Thank You Ron.
Excellent book to read. Not only does Ron do an outstanding job with how it's but he poetically relays some exciting hunting adventures and gives great tips about land management. This book comes highly recommended.
Agree 100% with Cyclic-Rivers !!!!!
Thanks, Charlie and Tom!!!
Thanks to all those who have ordered.
I packaged the books early this morning and they will hit the mail later today.
TTT for the weekend crowd.
Glad you brought this up. I didn't know what I wanted for Christmas, a good book fills the bill.
Order placed.
I had stopped reading your book for a while, got a pile of books I'm reading,,,plus life and everything...,,but today had a Dr. Appointment so, took it along with me. Sure glad I did....I'll eventually finishing the book!
Great Holiday Spirit with the drawing giveaway!
Mike, sorry to hear about the Dr. appointment, but glad you were able to enjoy the book during your wait!
Just out of curiosity, what chapter goes well with doctors and waiting rooms?
Probably not the one you would expect, especially for a hypertension visit, but I was at the point of starting chapter 3 so I dove right in and made it a page or two into chapter 4.
Gotta keep the BP in it's good range and life in perspective.....shooting a stickbow well helps..
Breathe deep and keep the Buck Fever and high Blood Pressure at bay!
November Magic might be a better chapter for hypertension.
Hope your appointment went well and best wishes for good health.

Order a book for Christmas and possibly double your pleasure with a great knife or quiver.
I was dropping off a batch of books at the post office yesterday and the frazzled clerk told me that orders shipped after 12/16 likely won't make it before Christmas.
So, I'm brining this to the top in case anyone wants a book for under the tree.
Got mine yesterday. Snow and high winds in the forecast for the weekend. I know what I'll be doing. :readit:
Need A good Read for winter, just orderdered and Thanx
Tony, glad to hear your copy arrived.
Nothing better than a good recliner, a glass of whatever makes you feel better, and a book to get you through a winter day.
Okay, the clock is ticking. This is your last chance to enter the drawing for the knife or quiver.
I'll draw the winning names tonight at 9:00 pm and announce the winners tomorrow morning.
Many thanks to all who have purchased a book and entered the drawing.
Just ordered. Not worried when it gets here. Thanks for the offer but I don't need to be in the drawing. Someone will love those items.
Looking forward to reading your book.
ChuckC
Thanks, Chuck!
I just drew the lucky winners...more in the AM.
This book is one of the best I have read in a long time!
Thanks, Shawn!! That's a wonderful compliment!
Quiver and knife winners are now announced on the first post!
WOW!! This was a nice post to wake up to! Thanks Ron!! The book is great. There really is something for everyone in it. Some "Old Schooling" and some new information. It should be mandatory reading for all tradition bowhunters. I am going to apply some of teachings to my late season hunting next week.
Ron, thank you very much for writing a great book and the drawing. I just resumed making wood arrows and basket quiver will come in handy. The book really captures the "essence" of traditional bowhunting from the lessons, strategies, tips and hunting adventure sections. I will definitely be making up a batch of your home-brewed scent eliminator. "Keep the Traditional Spirit Alive"
Tony and Jim, thanks for the kind words!! I'm glad you are enjoying the book.
I sent your packages today by USPS Priority Mail. It's unlikely they will make it by Christmas, but you should see them early next week.
Let me know when they arrive.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
Quiver delivered today. Great Christmas gift. Especially, with it's associated history. Great to see you are a new sponsor. Thanks again.
