Howdy Gang!
What a crazy year! I simultaneously wrapped up and retired from 26 years in law enforcement while kicking off a new career in armed private security for a major corporation, all during prime hunting season as luck would have it. And just to make it more interesting it was Braveheart's highest sales volume time of the year too.
Whew! :help:
I think I am still dizzy. :p
With most of that in the rear view mirror now, I am finally gonna hit the woods. Going to Kenny's with Jim Jones of Firefly, Steve "Jacob's Ladder" Grice and Mike "Yellow Dog" Buska of TG. This will be the third time I've made this hunt so to say I am excited is an understatement.
You can still order off the website if you wish but I won't get to your items till Saturday FYI.
Here's to a good hunt! :archer2:
Thanks all! We greatly appreciate all the support you've given us these many years.
Hope you have a large time.

Looks like a lot of brain power there
Good Luck
Have a ball and best of luck.
We're back to the real world. Thanks for the well wishes all I appreciate it.
I was only able to make three days of the hunt this year but it was sure good to be there. Thursday I had one of those days where I could do no wrong and had a tremendous amount of action. On two different occasions I had a doe on the ground mere feet away but still no shot. :banghead:
I found not one but two dead bucks near a pond so we speculated maybe some blue tongue had been in the area.
Had a bald eagle fly by my stand, that was cool.
Turkey everywhere this year, wished I had more time to focus on them but I was distracted by deer as usual.
Great group of guys and Kenny is a wonderful host as always and offers a tremendous hunt for a steal of a price. If you don't like Kenny, well there's just something wrong with you what a down to earth gentlemen.
What's happened to traditional archery anyway? I was the only guy in camp shooting wood. :D
In the end no deer were taken, Mike had a shot at a turkey the last morning. Lots of sightings, mostly does this year doing a good job of pointing out our shortcomings as hunters. :p
Already planning for next year! :jumper:
Another great group of guys, I'm proud to sorta share camp with! If only I didn't have to go to work!! LOL
Great to see you guys and I'm looking forward to next year!!
Kenny,
Great to be back to Missouri again. As usual the deer sign was tremendous. The farms are loaded with rubs and scrapes around every corner. We had some testy weather on this trip. One day of rain , and some rather windy days kept us guessing and trying to pattern the deer. The deer won this time around. The turkey and small game population is booming. We must of spotted at least a dozen bald eagles,. Jake saw the largest buck and was fortunate enough to see a coyote from the gap stand. Thanks again Ken! Missouri, the Grice farm, and your neighbors dog "buster" hold a special place in my heart
Weather can make or break a hunt for sure, last time in NE the truck thermometer registered 106 when we arrived. But huntin is better than work any day!! LOL
Sure was glad to see you guys, Steve!! Always a pleasure!
Glad y'all had a great time
Bring home some meat.
