I posted pictures of a buck I was blessed to shoot on a ten day hunt in northern WI. I used a single bevel Aboywer 145 grain bone head on a cedar shaft. Attached is the picture of the heart .. the damage from the head was amazing for a two blade head. The buck was 2o yds ... using a 52# bow 600 grain head shooting thru the shoulder blade I got complete penetration. Thought I would share ...

Great shot fellow Wisconsonite!
What a hole :scared:
Congrats on a great buck
Very nice, I had great performance out of the Abowyer Bonehead with a 125 grain screw-in adapter for a total 270 grains back in 2012 on a large buck. I had impressive penetration to say the least AND plenty of internal trauma as he was down within 50... They come wicked sharp from the factory!
Were you shooting from an elevated stand? I'm trying to figure out how you could have shot him thru the shoulder blades, and still hit the heart???
The heart on Tx whitetails is way lower than the shoulder blades!
Congrats on a great buck!

Yes I was ... only about 10 feet high but I was shooting down hill some. Entered mid-point on left exit very low on right. This was the far back tip of the blade ( wide thin part) ... if I would have saved it I could attach a picture .. but I didn't.
Hope that helps with your question
Nice shot, Steve! I've been using Grizzly Kodiaks for several years now and have been very happy with their performance on game. I normally want a wider head, but the SB seems to make up for it and then some.
Wow! Doin work
