Title: Anyone shooting 150 grain VPA?
Post by: Bullfrog 1 on November 25, 2016, 06:26:00 PM
The screw in version. They seem awfully short. Any issues with penetration?  Thanks.  Bill

Get them sharp and there is no problem.

it is what it is, not the highest mechanical advantage if thats what you are after but a good, strong, reliable head either way.

I used the 125's, out of the three I had two are still in the woods somewhere. They kept on going after I hit the deer. I was in a ground blind on both.

I used the 175's this year and had a complete pass through out of a 45# longbow. Get em sharp and they work great. Had great flight out of them also

I am shooting the 125s. I have shot 3 deer and a coyote with them this year out of my 43# ACS. No issues at all.

I use th 160 glue on. My opinion is its a great head, easy to sharpen.
