Had a cancellation, thought another fellow was taking it but he couldn't find anyone to come with him, so we have an opening....

I know it is late for planning, but late season is pretty good. There is no gun pressure on the lease, and the deer like that. They move in and stay. Right next to ag ground so they have undisturbed cover and food close by.

Trust me I've been calculating, estimating, and doing risk assessments for the last two days trying to figure out a way to make this work...I'll be in TX and would have to get back to VA and then out to MO.... just can't make it work this time...any other time I would be there in a heart beat. Mac and really enjoy the Dec hunting

Oh yeah, next group showed up late last nite. I texted Steve this morn aND they are out. Here is reply, hope he don't mind me quoting him!!

They missed a turkey this morning. Deer are hard to figure for some reason this fall. I've had the same deal at bro's 10 miles east. Never in same place twice and not as much day movement as usual.

My theory is everything is so lush from the perfect rains this summer and the 70 to 75* temps this fall, they don't have to go far to eat.  :help:
