I've been hunting from my ladderstands this season, but my knee/back issues are causing me quite a bit of discomfort. Thinking hard about taking my ASAT Pyramid blind and my hammock seat and slipping down into the creek bottom in the morning. With high winds in the forecast I am hoping the Pyramid and my hammock seat along with the ASAT leafy suit might produce some good results. Anyone else use an Apache Pyramid blind? Mike
I've used one in the past and it seemed to work pretty good. Really easy to carry around and set up. Just make sure you have some cover behind you.
Where can you buy them?
Lowrider, , PM sent. Fred
Fred:
Send me a link also. Thanks.

I like mine for ground hunting....just enough in the right place to give yea a little more cover when yea need it....
Where did you get them?
I would day get the bigger one. They are very well made and lightweight and travel through the woods easy.Fast to set up and take down.I would still brush them in a little for deer.
I attached fabric leaves to mine for more of a 3-d effect. You can shoot out the sides or through the windows. Its challenging to make a kill from one IMO.But very exciting.I have killed a few deer from mine and one nice buck.
Pick a camo pattern that blends well on the ground..With depth and 3-D effect.
For ground hunting a ghillie suit is the best answer. The only problem is getting it trimmed enough to shoot, while still maintaining the camo affect. NOTHING, to include turkeys seem to be able to pick you up in a ghillie suit

Would love to see some pictures.

Pete, Here's a couple of pics of mine that I set up in my yard to practice shooting from behind it. I pinned some leaves from a craft shop to it to help it blend in the woods and when I'm hunting with it I brush it in some to break up the outline.

Hey Fred, That looks great with the 3d leaves. Those leaves at the top really break up the outline! I could barely see you sitting behind the blind in the second image. Thanks for taking the time to take the photos and post pick!
So, are these still available to purchase? If so, how and how much?
They were made in Lake Orion, MI.Maybe you can do a search and find out if they are still available.
I can't seem to find any way to find a website.
I don't know if they are still available to purchase. I bought mine a couple of years ago.
Thanks.
deertraks, Sent you a PM.
I was sitting on a tripod seat against a big oak tree while wearing my ghillie and had an unknown deer cross the fence 2' away before legal shooting light. Just light enough I could make out a shadow. Sat in front of me munching acorns for 5 minutes before moving on.
Fred:
Great set-up. What are the two big holes at the bottom?
Also, where did you purchase it?
Doug, you can flip the blind over for a shorter or taller height. The holes at the bottom become the windows at the top.
Doug, Check your PM's I had sent you the info where I bought mine. Fred
The gentleman that came up with this blind is a good friend of mine. His name is Tom Sampe. He is an old school guy and not on the internet, so no website. He used to do the show circuit a bit but has cut way back in recent years. His biggest challenge has always been finding seamstresses to craft the blinds in quality fashion. He has been talking about ramping back up again in limited quantity and patterns. I will be in touch with him in the next couple of days hopefully and will get an update from him. When I do, I will update this post.
