Can anyone direct me to a video I'm sure I saw on this sight about constructing tree stand lifelines? I've searched and can't find it.
Thanks.

Here's a link to where I learned to make mine: http://safetreehunt.com/

At $17 ... that's getting pretty cheap. Ya'll can make them for much less than that? I've looked at making them many times, but that's hard to beat for everything, with hardware, etc.

Not a bad deal, but this is only for a tree strap/lineman's rope, not a full length lifeline. I'm also not real keen on trusting my life to a made in China piece of rope.

I really like the ease of the HSS lines. This is the first year I really used the vest. For years I used the safety belts and really liked them. But...now I'm wearing my vest and using the life lines--even at home practicing from my stands.

Thanks, guys! I'll check things out.

I go to an actual climbing store like REI and buy real climbing rope. One thickness for the lifeline and a thinner one for my prussic knot but can't remember what thicknesses they are. Also buy good carabiners. How much is your life worth?

I use 11mm / 7/16" for the main line and 7mm for the prussic. Prussic cord diameter should be about 70% or less of the main line.
