I've seen pics of a motorized machine, that has a wooden box cover, that is a cresting machine. It's benefit is it compensates for slightly curved or out of round wooden shafts by using spring loaded rubber rollers......? Does anyone know where I can buy one of these? Has anyone used one and what can you tell me about it? Thanks!
It's a Philips Cresting Machine.
Lost Nation Archery has them.

This is where I bought mine. They are expensive, but very nice. I just made a dozen with mine for a benefit here in town.
Put an on/off switch on the cord if they haven't changed it - when mine came it was just a cord. Also, I use mine with very little spring tension.
I like the way the machine spins the shafts. But I have noticed with some hickory arrows I had (which were not perfectly in the shape of a circle (diameter wise)) that they didn't want to spin all that well. I suppose it's inherent to the design. If you are spinnning the shaft from the middle, it's harder to spin an oval than a circle.
I'd buy one again
