Well fellas, it's officially "No Shave, November" LOL
The Boys have convinced me to grow my beard back, after many years... It's gonna be a "Father/Son" thing!!!
Anyone else growing a Huntin' Beard???
I grow one pretty much year round. My wife hates it, so naturally I love it.
Been growing mine for a year now. Wife hates it. I love it. Growing it till spring.
I'm too patchy to grow a decent full beard so I've always done the goatee and mustache. Been doing this for many years starting on Labor Day weekend and not shaving it until Easter. Wife is not fond of the beard but does like the mustache. These days I'm not sure it has any camo value as my head and beard is all white now.
Had one since 1981, my wife and boys have never seen me without it....
From September to March. My wife hates it now but married me when I had it.
biggest pet peeve of mine due to my company mandatory shaving policy! if it were not for that I would look like a cave man by choice.
i hear ya Bro i had to shave my face as old Grumpy was not happy :readit:
Me. Started in August. By time it's the end of ice fishing season it will be pretty narly.
Wish i could grow a beard and not shave but my work won't allow me :banghead: until i retire it's clean shaved every day except when i'm off.
Started one late August before my Colorado trip, going to keep it till after New Years.
I can for 20something days. Military doesn't appreciate beards.
Haven't gone clean shaven since 2004.
I met my wife in 1998-she's never seen me clean shaven, or with short hair, and never will!! At age 65, with 20 years in the military and a couple of years in emergency response-I've earned my beard and pony tail.
Always start mine on Labor Day. It comes off after the annual hunt at Wild Things. The Fa Kow Ee always look pretty grubby on the hunt but we clean up nice. :)
I shaved about 10 years or so ago. Shocked my wife and two daughters, they told me not to do that ever again! :biglaugh:
Fa Kow Ee, where y'all from? Lol!!!!!!!!!!
Yep
Thought only not shaving for one month is fer the wemmen?lol
Tim
Yep, but it looks like the south end of a north bound buck.
I can't for work need to wear respirators,,, I remember my old man and his black powder buddy's would do that and get ready for opening day BP and all have their pure white beards

Eight buddies from SW PA who love the swamp and our good friend Andrew. This Feb will be our 10th trip.
:scared:
Start the beard Sept 1. Grow it all winter. Moustache has been there since I first grew it at 16, never shave it off.
I played around with facial hair a lot back in college but have been mostly clean shaven for the last 10 years or so (work in finance). Somehow, I got the genetics to allow me to grow a decent beard in 2-3 weeks but not much on top of my head. I've been sporting a full beard for about a month. I figure I'll shave it after my late November hunt. But I'll probably grow it again for Spring turkey season. As others have noted, the wife isn't as fond of it. There are definitely some incentives to shave it...
I have had facial hair of some kind since I got married in 1977......this year I'm letting go for a bit, don't know how far I will get with it because my beard is not that full. Momma hasn't growled at me yet so we will let it go.
When I was a golf pro I shaved everyday for years. As soon as I decided to get out of that work I let it grow. I have to keep it trimmed for work but I feel like a mountain man again
If I didn't shave for a year I wouldn't have a beard

I always have some sort of face hair on. Full beard for the winter as I work in the woods, but can't stand them in the heat.
Totally clean shaven as of yesterday to grow a moustache for the month of "Movember". Google it up if you never heard of it. It's to raise funds for men's health, specifically prostate cancer. I like it as I can get away with a pretty outrageous "stache". Collect some money for my fellow man as well.
I did when I was a kid...now just a goatee for the last few years
I used to grow one for deer season and shave it off after...now I just keep it year round as I hate shaving :)
Had my 'stache since 1967, have had beards/goatees over the years, but beards don't last too long; too itchy, and besides, my youthful , boyish looks are compromised by a snowy white beard.
No, I'm back to shaving almost everyday! I grew a beard most of the time after I retired from the Navy, but current job requires either clean shaven or wear a beard net. I'd rather keep shaved than wear one of them damn things, plus it's getting pretty white and makes me look a lot older than I feel!
My department...carroll county sheriffs department Indiana are participating in no shave November. Each deputy donates a dollar a day for shop with a cop to participate. It's a nice change not having to be clean shavin each day!!! And it goes to a great cause
Cudo's to the Carrol Co. Sheriffs Dept. !!!!!
Great Job Guys...!!
I finally shaved mine off this spring and haven't shaved it since.
glenbo x2!
Denny
My wife ask me if I'd enjoy celibacy.
I ask if that would be different....
Use your imagination on the results of that....
So... Did you grow a beard???
Grow one every fall for camoflage, less face paint I have to put on.
Hair absorbs and emits deer discernable human scent.
I never enter the field unless my whole body is shaved.
LOL, while there could be some truth in the fabricated aforementioned claim........
Mustache since 1979. Beard most of the time except when working in refineries. Had a beard now since 2011 and will always have one since I am retired now.

This. Shaved once in the past 30 years to put a respirator on.
Got curious to see what I looked like under the beard about 11 years ago, found out jowls had grown in. And my face got cold again.
Didn't seem like a good idea to do that I again.
Did ponder going for the Hulk Hogan extenda-stache,called up my future wife from on the road in the middle of BC, with that great idea. Got a "no" then, and every time since then..
Here in Australia November is more popularly called 'Movember'. So called for men sporting moustaches to raise money for prostate cancer. People donate to have have a guy shave a beard leaving only a moustache or to grow one.
Hulk Hogan Extenda-Stache :biglaugh:
