Was fortunate to have taken my first two deer with wood arrows and Magnus Classic Single Bevel heads. I've always shot carbon arrows. I really like the wood shafts. Very forgiving!
Both deer taken with my Palmer Longbow 47# @ 26" 62" AMO about a week apart.
Shot the doe at 23 yards right through the shoulder, she ran about 60 yards and fell in sight.

This buck came limping in to 6 yards. I was 20' up a tree and he was coming straight at me. I had drawn when he cleared some brush but held waiting for him to turn, he put his head down and the next thing I saw was my arrow buried just beside his spine! Auto Pilot must have kicked in lol
He ran about 80 yards and stopped. I couldn't see him but could hear him having trouble breathing.
The Magnus Classic's are tough heads!

After entering the bucks back it is still good for another hunt!

Great shooting! I wish mine had been up to par this weekend
Congrats Corey!
I love the idea of woodies... not sure if I'm cut out for'em just yet though.
What's up with that antler growing out of his back? Did you find that while trailing the buck?
I am inspired.
Congrats my friend, great shooting!

That's my favorite recipe, even though Douglas fir is great too. I had heard that Magnus might be in some trouble so I bought up a lot of them. Congratulations on your deer!
Very nice

I like the wood arrows but at the rate they break on game I
Think I'll just use them for 3D and go back to carbons for hunting lol

I can build them with screw in inserts in various weights from 175 grains to nearly 300 grains. I only have a few packs left though and not sure when I will be getting more so hit me up soon if interested.
Regards,
Congrats again, Corey!
