Has anyone had any problem with feathers not sticking on Easton Axis shafts. I've been using fletch tite platinum glue.
Thanks for your help.

Haven't had a problem with them. Clean the shaft good and don't put a lot of helical on them.
Try using a different adhesive. Fletch-Tite Platinum doesn't seem to produce as quality a bond as the original does. I use fletch tape on all my shafts and never had a feather come off any of them, including my Axis 400's
I love my Axis arrows. I've always used cap wraps and flech tape with no problems.
Ditto what Chuck said. Put away the fletching glues, get yourself a couple rolls of fletching tape, if you want/need added insurance you can glue down the ends of those feathers. I use a radical helical twist and mount four 5 1/2 inch banana cut feathers on to those axis shafts without any difficulty. Using the tape is quicker that glue also, since there is zero drying time...
I also clean the shaft well with Dawn liquid soap on a sponge and hot water prior to fletching. I've used the FT Platnium for a few years with great results.. Clean the shaft, oils will keep anything from sticking.
Yup I had to redo alot of arrows after using platinum glue:0( I went back to fletch tape :0)
I've had the same problem. I have found that the "super glues" to work well and fast. The liquids are messy but the gels are easy to use. You still need to get the shafts clean for best results.
I used cap raps and the Fletch-Tite Platinum with absolutely no problems. I would not use fletch tape if they sent me a truck load. Each to his own.
I've tried it all. The only thing that worked for me is the wraps using tape or glue.

The only way I'd use FT Platinum is over a wrap. I've had poor results using it with unwrapped arrows on both aluminum and carbon. I like the tape with a spot of glue at either end. As for glues, I'm with Bill, although you may get some surface frosting with cyanoacrylate glues. There are some with additives to minimize this though.
I too use fletch tape with success.
For carbons I always use wraps and Fletch-tite Platinum, never had any problems.I like using wraps on carbons so I can removed them easily without scraping the shafts with a knife.Whether you use wraps or not you need to clean the shafts.
I wipe down my Axis shafts with alcohol and use fletch tape and have experienced no failures.
Thanks for all the help guys. I personally think it's the platinum glue. I'll try the regular fleth tite glue again which i never had a problem. If that doesn't work I'll try the fletch tape. I do love my Axis 500 arrows. I'm getting the best arrow flight i ever had. Of course that's with feathers.LOL
I use platnium glue on my axis shafts and have had no problems . clean them with alcohol first . or lightly sand them them clean then glue .
