I am thinking of ordering a pathfinder half zip pullover. I am trying to decide if Montana Magic is the right color for me. On my computer it appears more red. One my phone it appears more brown.
Does anyone have any pics and experience with the Montana Magic pattern?
Thanks,
Jon

It's probably one of the best patterns for breaking up your outline in fall Midwestern woods. Blends with the leaves. More brown. You hunt from a ground blind Jon in Michigan, with a good back drop, it should work great

It's a great pattern, however I like evening stand brown the best. Either one will be great!

I was wanting evening stand brown, but they are out of stock...

I picked up the evening stand green at Denton Hill. I think the half zip Pathfinder is the best pull over Teresa has done and I have several.

Montana Magic is definitely more brown..

Evening stand brown is always a winner. Verified too! My first buck I shot at 9 yards from the ground with only some scrub covering me up to the knees and I had some worn dark burlap draped across some willow bushes in back of me. Looked right at me and didn't spook.

Took after I shoot him:

I recently received my Montana magic. It's more brown but blends well in most situations. I even used it successfully for spring bear. If you want more contrast I also like timber ghost. It's particularly good in the stand.

What pattern do you think would work best in combination with natural gear camo? And what would be the best weight to use in 30 degree weather?
-
I used Montana Magic all week long up in the UP....it blended well in everything from open woods, to filed edges, to pine thickets that had bracken ferns and dead pine bows. It is an excellent pattern.

Santa may bring me some (I've been very good) Not to hijack the OP's thread, but for early season Sept-Oct eastern woodlands would evening stand green or brown be a better choice. I like the look of timber ghost, too!
-
Just saw a friend's Evening Stand Green full zip - extremely soft, not scratchy, for a new wool item. Colors are fantastic, outstanding choice for early season in the east. Making me rethink my color choice, actually.

Just got my Montana magic anorak and it is much better than I thought it would be. Looks better in person. I think it will work best amongst brush and oaks. Fantastic coat.

Good as it gets!

I'm waiting on Teresa to get the Timberghost pattern back in stock so she can make me a 1/2 zip Pathfinder to add to my Asbell wardrobe.

The Pathfinder pullover is just fantastic! Very functional and comfortable. The zipper pocket is pretty good sized and a great addition. Can't remember what it's called I got, but I think it's Little Delta Plaid. Not a great picture, but the only one
I have so far.

Oldogrib,
I'm a NC boy too and I have Evening Stand Brown for early season and Timber Ghost for late season and they are perfect for our woodland seasons.

I just ordered a pathfinder in the evening stand brown have it in a pullover works well all season for me...canr wait to get it

I have the gray Anorak from Asbell's. Seems to blend just fine here in Ohio. Really like the hand warmer pockets on it.
-
What weight are most liking?
-
my anorak is blanket weight. in warmer weather it is fine with just a t-shirt under...in cold I layer some other wool sweaters under it -n- have had to take one off.
-
I have the Anorak in gray and like it a lot. I really do like the look of the Pathfinder half zip though and may have to order one. I generally stick to solid colors but I do have one of Teresa's zipper jackets in evening stand brown and it's an excellent pattern.
