Ordered up some Gold Tip Traditional Classic arrows, didn't take into account the half out insert.
31" draw, normally get my arrows cut at 31 1/2". Like the field point, broadhead, etc, to touch the back of my pointer finger, let's me know I,m at full draw. Half inch extra doesn't sound like much, but it,s just enough of an extra stretch to be a little much..
Didn't get ballistic collars with the arrows, but I,m wondering if that might not be the path of least resistance??
Figure if they're about an inch, should be enough to bring my reference point back where it was...
They're close to an inch. I'll measure one at the shop and let you know. Only the XT versions come with collars.
I put HIT inserts in and used ballistic collars
They're exactly an inch long.
I always hated HIT inserts. It allows impact on the front of the shaft. Shoot them enough and they all mushroom. It's hard to beat the stainless steel inserts the trad classics have now.
Thank you guys!
Have to do a little fooling around with these .400s, think I,m on the right track!
You can foot the .400 regular Kinetics with 2020 aluminum arrows, works like a champ! Don't know about the traditional ones, the camo wrap might make it a little tight!
