Congratulations! Nicely placed shot.
Great vittles...
You're only a few miles north of me in Haverhill... Iv got another week to wait for mass to open. Nice doe !!
Congrats Fred!
Congrats. I always though NH would be a tough place to bowhunt deer.
I already posted this on a thread "New Hampshire velvet buck" but will add it to your thread. Nice deer you got. Does can be bough to kill, especially if they have a couple of years on them.

Haverhill,NH
8 yard shot,20 yard recovery. About as big as I want to drag out by myself anymore :bigsmyl:
Haven't posted a picture in a while and Photo bucket isn't working for me,the picture is a bear 150# boar

that worked :)
Haverhill is really far south for bear, nice boar. When did you take him ? I need to look into bear opportunities close to MA, always has been a dream of mine
Nice job Paul!
David
Nice job guys ! Speed bump I love that Arapaho could you take a close up of the broadhead on the riser ? I'm a big fan of Bobs bows and have 7 or 8 of them ( still have my three favorites) but never had an Arapaho.
Nice job! What kind of bow is that Fred?
Thanks David, Tyler you may want to get a copy of the NH harvest report. It gives a great breakdown of all the harvest's by animal, district, town, sex, etc.
Working on it here in CT slow today all in the fields when I walked out
congrats to those who have had success!
Congrats, Nice Bear PV

Right on Paul! Good luck with the rest of your season.
Congrats guys!!
Since this is a hunt/success thread..
Deer have been scarce in my area but not bears. This youngster cut the trail I walked in on and followed it to my tree. He's safe for this year.

Mass bow season opened Monday the 17th. I shot a 5pt buck on Tuesday late afternoon with a 7 yard shot from my Bob Lee Hunter recurve.

Nice job fisherick and Tajue! Way to get it done!
Things have been slow in my areas. Some monsters have been cruising at night I have on camera, but little daytime activity. Hopefully this cool weather will help out.
Two down so far for me. Lots of close calls this week and I let a spike walk which was hard to do. Back at again tomorrow morning,
Since the deer hunting has been real slow, I decided to have a go at a couple small turkey flocks occasionally putting in an appearance on my land. A pop-up blind, hen decoy, and a little 'old school' wingbone turkey call and was ready to go. After 2 1/2 hours of light calling, a flock of 8 came running in led by the boss hen who proceeded to harass and strut around the deke. A close shot, short run, and I had a bird in time for Thanksgiving!

hey nice bird,,,, since they opened the fall turk season here in Z11 I've been waiting for one to come by.... every season I had them visit my stand but since they opened the fall season not one turkey has visited me! so don't nobody tell me the turkeys don't read the abstracts 8^)
wow, congrats everyone. I have yet to get out at all this fall. life happens. lol...between coaching my daughters Soccer team, running OCR races, training for said races, and finding a new love (Rock Climbing) I haven't had too much free time. I'm getting out tomorrow in the afternoon though. can't wait.
I took a beautiful buck Saturday in Mass. Will post pictures and a story later. Lots of activity the last few days.
Shot my second NH buck last week. Had to ask Laura for permission to hunt one of her stands as the wind was iffy for my go to stand. Got the approval and this guy showed up. Fed facing me for at least 10 minutes. Finally turned and gave me a 12 yard shot. Got 3rd rib from the back quartering away. Watched him go down at about 80 yards. Freezer is full and two tags plus a turkey to work on. Deer have been few and far between this year due to several factors in my area. But I guess I am not the only one having a hard time finding them. Not even hearing gunshots. Woods often seem empty. I've been lucky to have two shots that were quick kills. After kill drag outs were not so easy this year.

By the way, Zippercurve sent me a pic or two of the buck and doe he shot from the same stand. Impressive NE buck. Great story, as well.
Here's my buck from 11/12, I also shot a doe but needed to butcher her in the woods quickly so I could focus my attention on getting the buck taken care of.
Shot was 34 yards after I paced it off the following day. Toelke Whip HS #51. Shooting a Beeman ICS 500 with 200 grain VPA 3 blade. Double lung pass through.
I am so thankful and feeling blessed still.

good job,, really nice deer here everyone!
Nice buck Tyler! Congratulations
Pete A...it just says its a Morrison Arapaho custom built for Fred Allard....Thats me!...That broadhead is a bear razor head that I shot my first deer in Vermont with at the age of 14..(groves 43# recurve).
sorry for the delay in responding...been outa touch for awhile.
I see some interest in the bow...It is a beauty for sure! I'll take some more pics and post. Cocbola riser with yew limbs. Has the bear razorhead that I shot my first deer with at age 14 in vermont, inlaid in the riser. it is 60" 60@28.....The very first day i hunted with it in 2000 I shot a deer here in NH. It has good mojo! I beleive this was the first commercially made/sold Arapaho sold by Bob....
well...had my best season in MA for sightings at least. had a big buck within 60 yards twice (2 different sits)...and saw 7 does spill out into the farm field right at dusk one evening.
since gun season started I've been focusing on bow hunting a new property in CT, but its been tough....sign everywhere but no sightings...finally set up a camera and all the action was between 6:30pm and 2 am.
weather forecast for the weekend isn't good....have a feeling I wont be filling a tag this year...but at least I have until the end of January down in CT.
