Does anyone have a nice picture of how to do the toothpick and rubber band trick to hold your arrow on while hunting ?
Thanks in advance for the demonstration .

Grapes little sticks or pieces of wood work too and can have more character

The toothpick/matchstick thing is a great idea but I will never use one again after missing a chance at the biggest buck I've ever had inside 10 yards. As I drew back I couldn't get the stupid thing to release. I had to reach over with my other hand to get the thing off and in that span of time the buck ran off. Might have been operator error, but I had used the things a bunch of times and had not had problems until the one time it mattered.
I know you asked about toothpicks but I have Kwik-Lok arrow holders on all my bows and have never once had a problem.

I like how you think .
I really like natural wood .
Thanks for that idea .
Stinger... I wasn't going to say anything, but my experience was the same as yours. They worked fine until one morning the damn thing didn't release and I didn't notice. The arrow came all the way to full draw and when I released the arrow it flew terribly to the left and way low.
Like Red Beastmaster I use a Kwik Lok on all my bows without a single problem.
I have two of the old Stajacks and Kwik Lok. Sometimes the stajack doesn't want to release. I always release the holder before the shot happens.
I attach mine with Velcro.
