I have become friends over the past few years with a guy at work who owns about 150 acres, 30 miles from my house. He's a very nice fellow, and I've never breathed a peep about hunting on his land. Well, just last week he invited me to hunt! There are no other bowhunters on the property, so I'll have it to myself. He says that he has seen deer every day over the past couple weeks while out doing "farm" work, and has some big bucks on the property as well. Oh... And he has a bunch of food plots... 14, I think?
He offered to help me put up a ladder stand today, and I volunteered to help him with any projects he had going on. Well... He worked me and a couple other guys pretty hard and we all had a great time. And while it's a little late (bow deer starts in a week), I'm pretty excited. It's great when things work out!
The caveat is that my 7 year old daughter wants to go hunting with dad this year, and the property owner is really excited to have her come out and experience the outdoors and deer hunting.
Sounds like you could have hit the mother lode! Have fun!
Awesome, and good luck!

Wow , very nice . :archer:
That's great!!! Similar story myself, but found that the gentleman did not lease this year so we still have rights to hunt the 100acres. Greene county for me this year :)
That is a winning situation for all involved. Nice!
That is awesome! I am very happy for you and your new opportunity.
Lucky you
It's good that people will still do things like that. Good luck this year on your new place, can't imagine how excited you are.
Good for you bro. Let us know how it goes.
Why would having your daughter with be a caveat?
Sounds like a recipe for "BEST TIME EVER" and an opportunity to instill a lifetime of hunting and/or outdoors appreciation in her.
Go for it, man!
That is great!!
