So we all know guns and alcohol don't mix. Something you may not know is broadheads and alcohol don't mix. As I sit here bleeding I'd like to remind you all to be careful and to do it before miller time. Just a helpful hint
Haha been there. Some lessons you have to be taught several times before it sticks.
Now that right there is funny! :big laugh: Only because the cutting is obviously done and it must not have been too bad. Heal well buddy!
I don't see a problem....the antiseptic is right there handy and you don't have to go looking for it.
On the other hand, cold beer and fletching arrows are made for each other. It's the pointy end that will get you!
I can cut myself on a broadhead even without a beer. That sharp head just beckons to be checked out.
Ouch!!!!
Hope it is nothing too serious!

Worst part is once sharp, you might not immediately know you've been cut!!! And don't do them in yer skivvies... Especially depending on the # of beers or other consumption.
DON'T ask!!! :knothead:
I'd rather cut myself than my bow string.
Be careful out there, I hope you heal up well.
:archer2:
Drinking a few beers is the only way I can tolerate something as monotonous as sharpening broadheads.
The cut wasn't bad. Didn't hurt really either. Imagine that lol. Was on the second bevel of a grizzly when my thumb decided to get a little to close to the freshly sharpened (ragged file edge) bevel. Sure makes a guy pay attention!
Doc I gota hear that story lol

Ha! Wasn't ME
this time... the Darwin Award was reported by another guy who was in his shorts and dropped a Sharpened blade, never noticed he cut his thigh till he got up and blood was running down his leg on his wife's new carpet!
says "flood protection" but long after I'm gone it posts a 2nd one...Really? :(
If anyone would like to know what it looks like when a 3-blade Bodkin goes through a knee, I can share... All three blades went through, and that scar is a real conversation piece.
No beer involved, it was about 1985 and I was about 14. My dad saved the broadhead and I just found it in a coffee can a couple years ago.
Oh man that had to hurt. Heard a story about a guy that had an arrow fall out of his quiver while he was goin through a fence. He caught the broadhead in the back of his thigh as he stepped down. Talk about a painful walk to the truck!
I'm glad you were not seriously hurt. As my mom used to say, "Have fun, but be careful."
Years ago I saw my dad slice his finger while twisting a broadhead on an arrow. No booze involved and that thing wouldn't hardly stop bleeding!!!
Nick
Hot melt glue barefooted is also a bad idea. I hear.
I went to emergency once after running a Bowlo into my palm. Worst part was explaining to nurse what happened. She wanted to report it to police because wound was caused by a weapon!
Yes, hot melt and bare legs and or feet don't mix.
