Charles Moniz and Charles Moniz jr.
Jr. sat with his father for 12 hours each day for four days to be with his father on this hunt, a tip of the hat for this lad.

Those are 2 big antelope!!!

Yes Buckeye, all three of us were blessed to take such nice Antelope, the meat is great as well.
All three of us drove the many miles to Wyoming to experience a new hunt, Charles had been there last year and he talked both Tom and I to tag along.
My wife Lois came along and enjoyed just walking through the prairie while the three of us lost weight in a very hot ground blind.
Funny how something you are not used to can really wear on you.
Wyoming should use those ground blinds for minor offenses, speeding , three days in a ground blind in the hot sun in the wide open.

Great pics and lopes. Any shot details?

Ted, you said the meat was great as well. I've heard mixed things on the taste of antelope. I would think it would be similar to other grazing wildlife as they eat the same things but have no experience myself.

Magnificent animals! The wide-set horns on that second one are especially beautiful. They're both some lucky guys. I've watched herds in Montana, but those are bigger than any I've seen in person! Congrats to those fellas.

Thanks all, Buckeye, the meat is great , I have never had bad antelope, I am sure lots has to do with how the meat is taken care of, we cut and wrap our own and take care of it from the moment its down.
Charles built his bow while spending time with JD Berry as he lives close, you guessed Toms and mine was a 55# 60" Raptor Signature I built for hunting in the ground blind, matter of fact I have an extra deer tag this year and waiting for the Blacktail rut to hunt from another blind with that bow.
I used a 650 grain fir arrow footed with bloodwood with a Simmons Treeshark.

I figured that would have a lot to do with it, just like any other game animal.
Thanks, Nick
