Title: Millennium Receiver
Post by: DanielB89 on September 06, 2016, 12:44:00 PM
I recently purchased a Millennium M100u that comes standard with the chain link receiver and I  was wondering if any of you guys have used the Ratchet strap receiver.

Which receiver do you believe to be better?

And any other information you that would be beneficial to me?

thanks ahead of time,

Daniel

My m50 came with th3 ratchet receiver. It was easy to setup and was able to get it really tight. You'll  fall asleep in 100. I've set in the m150 while hog hunting  it was the most comfortable seat. I believe them m100 has the same seat.

For being quiet the ratchet will be a bit better.  You can also get it super tight...but I feel that the chain bracket when installed properly can be just as tight.

The chain bracket is to be installed so that it 'cams' down and locks into the tree.  Most people don't realize that this is the correct way to install it.

The 'TOP' of the bracket should be against the tree while linking out the slack.  When it's attached, cam the bracket down so that the 'top' is now facing up so that it can accept the treestand.  For more permanent locations I prefer the chain because I feel they'll last much longer when leaving them up year round.  The ratchet strap will need to be replaced every couple years.
