Hi all,
I've got a new bow in the works and I'm looking for some arrow options. Specs are hopefully going to be 70# at my draw of 28", cut past centre. I'd like to get 350gr up front.
Messing around with Stu Miller's spine calculator it reccomends a spine of .200...seems pretty stiff. What do you think? Gold Tip has shafts in .250 and .200 spine, so there are stiff options out there if it's needed.
Any advice appreciated thanks!
You can still pick up 2419 aluminums on occasion, stiff and heavy! I just have 250 on the front of mine and end up with an 820 gr arrow.
Arrow dynamic Trad Heavies are .275 and the Hammerhead heavies are .250. Either should work. I shot the Heavies out of 72# bows with a 100 gr brass insert and 300 gr head.
Thanks for the suggestions, appreciate it! Danny how much larger is the end of a Trad Heavy than an average broadheads ferrule? Do you find that lip susceptible to damage or limiting penetration?

WHAT????? Another shooter with 820+gr arrows?????...watch out, or the heavy arrow police will be on your tail!
The arrow spine calculator seems pretty close most of the time....
