I'll be there Friday morning! This is a great lil shoot and the club property is beautiful.
Another great one I hate to miss, Jack!
Is there a web site, directions or address?
Ill post direction this eve..
Would like to John but it's early season opening here in NJ. If it's anything like the Mid-Penn shoot it should be a good one. I recall you guys mentioning it to me at that time. Enjoy.
This is an awesome shoot to wrap up the 3D season and get you ready for hunting.
Not sure yet if I'll be there Saturday or Sunday. My son has his first soccer game of the season Saturday, but I'm not sure what time yet.

Good Gracious, John...posting time says 3:15 AM...!
You and early riser or Late-to-bed type? :o
Good luck with the shoot!
Doc....I hit the hay the other night about 9:30 pm and at 3:00am I was WIDE awake......!!! Yup...a literal positin' fool on tradgang. Archery apparently knows NO timeclock........;-) ...John
LOL...more power to you. I'm usually up about that time myself...to whiz and then back to sleep..old man condition! :) :knothead: :jumper:
I hear you brother! I am 53 and get up once in awhile during the night myself as well......... You will have to think about coming up to Baltimore in May Once again.! One of the great early shoots of the year......let em know that Doc nock Has moved but it's not forgotten..!!! Oh well, off to dig up my archery stuff .... the Brett Kauffman Memorial is in the morning...
Hope you can make it on Saturday John, but I know all too well how kids soccer schedules take priority. Want to hear about the bear hunt!
Hay John, if not come sunday...i really want to try your reverse handle you built!
Or.....come Friday....take a half day and Shoot..
Doubt I'll make B'mo.
Things change. I like the smaller shoots as I got older with less of the "new age" attendees.
Brett's club's shoot, your club they have the ambiance I remember when I started attending trad shoots...
As we (trad) draw from a greater cross section of society, well, you get a greater cross section. Change is good, till it isn't!
I sold my old Apache pop up camper and these old bones dont sleep on the ground no more, or in the bed of a truck...
Combine that with 10 hr trip up North each way and ...NAH... ! Sorry!
But hoping you have a GREAT attendance and a swell time at your gathering...

Confirmed, Bill and I are heading up early Friday. We'll probably head back out Sat. afternoon. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
See you then Rich...
TTT
bump for another good group and a great shoot!
Yooooo Rich, glad to hear you and Bill will be coming up! I'm looking forward to shoot with you expert archers!
Amen
What's wrong with my "Professional Gappers Association" wind shirt?
Bill can't make it. His dog bit him in the hand and he's on antibiotics and it's swollen.
I'm bringing my friend Bob, another one of those wacky longbow guys, back quiver, crooked wooden arrows and all.
Those are my favorite Rich....see you friday....I'm manning the novelties..
Rich buddy, nothing wrong with it, heck i told you what it stood for at Baltimore lol!!!
That stinks about Bill, i was looking forward to seeing him but it sounds like Bob and me will get along just fine...since i shoot ASL's, back quiver, and ugly woodies i build lol! See you Friday.
Well im back from Shade Mt. and i want to give a big thanks to the club for another awsome time!!! The weather was hot and humid but it didn't stop me from having a blast. It was good to see all my pal's and make some new friends. The 2 courses were nice as you shot through their beautiful property and the food was good.
This is also a sad time when this shoot ends because it is the last of my camping shoots and about the end of the traditional shoot. It also means that i will have to wait till next year to see all my good friends but the good memories will be with me with bow in hand as i hit the woods hunting.
To all who are to many to name, thanks for the good times and good luck hunting and be safe.
I'll echo what Yewbender offered. Great folks, good target placements, good chow all made for a fine shoot. Congrats to Sue Shaw on her trophy!!
Thanks to all who put it together!
Thanks Gary and Jed..!!!! As usual it was awesome to see all of our friends up here at our home club shoot..! It was another successful year with over a hundred shooters...!!! The weather was hot and humid..but a good time was had by all..!!!! Looking forward to next year, as we probably will have A nice spring shoot, as well as our fall classic...!!! Will post details as they become available! Once again, thanks to all who showed up! See many of you in the spring....Jackdaw
Definitely a good time. Rich, Bob, Gary, great camping with you and tell Bob my daughter appreciated the cookies.
I like this shoot because I actually get a chance to talk to people for a change. Had a great time as usual. John, next year put in for 10 degrees cooler.
Will do....but I'm going for 15-20 degrees cooler....:-D

Don't be greedy, John...might just rain! :)
Rain would have been welcome this year Doc........ ;-)
Haha, rain doesn't stop me or Jsweka! Last year at Shade we shot in the rain.
If it's hot again next year i'll have Jackdaw do a rain dance and get it on video
Thanks for the good humor, guys! It's been unusually hot seems many places around the country this year...2 weeks ago they claimed on the Local news we had over 58 days above 90* and our avg is 14 for the whole summer...since that time we've had plenty more over 90! :knothead:
