My new bow made it today. Mike outdid himself on this one!! Maddog Mountaineer 64'' 48@29''. Green glass with maple and holly. It's a beautiful bow. I've shot it about 15 times before the rain got too bad, and it's quick and freakishly quiet. I can't wait to get in the woods with it. The arrows I'm shooting now are Gold Tip blems, 3555's with 200 grain tips. They seem to be flying well with this setup but I still have plenty of time to get things fine tuned before deer season if needed. I love it!!

Wow I am gonna have to do green glass on my next bow. What a looker nice job!!
That's a beauty. I'm also really liking the green glass I'm seeing on a lot of Mad Dogs lately.
Don't you just love that new bow smell !
That is a sweet looking stick! Should be smooth as butter too.
Now I want a new one :)
Sweet! I've got one ordered from him that is still a good month or more out... I ordered the green glass too and am very excited to get it.
Mike makes a sweet bow for sure.
So do you David, I still have that awesome Osage self bow you made me for the 2011 Bow swap, still shoots great.
Thanks y'all. It quit raining and I put another 20 or so arrows through it. I can't get over how quiet it is, with no type of silencers whatsoever. I guess I'm just going to leave it like it is. I put a small buckskin colored quiver from Big Jim's on it and it looks sharp. I'm very impressed with this bow. I've got a ton of pics of some big old does at my setup I can't wait to try it out on!!
Wow!! Love the bright white holly.
Seeing all the color combos and hearing the great reviews is moving a Maddog closer to the top of my must have list.
Now......if I can just convince the wife that it is a MUST HAVE!!!
Congrats on the sweet, new bow! As a recent Maddog recipient, I understand the excitement! Fast, quiet, and a looker! Awesome!
Mike builds extremely beautiful bows at a very reasonable price. I've not yet had the pleasure of owning one. But I plan to remedy that ASAP.
I love that green glass.
Im telling you, there is no better deal in existence for a custom bow. I dont ever see me shooting anything else. Mine, like yours,,,, are fast fast fast, quiet quiet quiet, accurate accurate accurate , and dead in the hand to boot...not to mention the eye candy part! Congrats on a wonderful bow!
There's one available in the sponsor's classifieds right now.
Holy smokes....if I didnt already have a 42lb in brown glass Mike id be snagging that sucker! The elm and rosewood looks fantastic!
It was a design I figured I try, that way I could use up some of the short pieces of wood I have left over.
That bow looks pretty good........except the shelf being cut on the wrong side! :scared: :scared: :scared:
Congrats on your new stick!

Very very nice. Mike is a phenomenal bowyer for sure. His bows are stupid fast and stupid quiet. Enjoy your new bow.
Like the bow...Like the green!!!
Very nice! And a lefty to boot! :goldtooth:
Very nice. If I ever do colored glass green will be my choice.
Gosh Mike, I thought I was the only one on here from Pahrump. I'm working out of town for the next year but we'll have to get together and shoot sometime.
I live here, in Pahrump, but I'm from all over the place, born in Cali though.
Very nice bow.
I like the green glass.
