Hey guys I had some feathers come off on my tru oil finished shafts. Do yall recommend a better glue? Thanks for any help.
Give the fletch area a spray of satin poly. Duco will work on that.
Did you try 0000 steel wool at the fletch site? i'd think that with it being scuffed up alittle, it would stick.... I'm in the middle of finishing some surewoods with tru oil myself and was going to use duco on them. I'll be watching this post!
Good luck, shoot straight and God Bless,
Rodd
Thanks guys for the help, I hope yall kill a biggun!
I have done it with no problem.
I use tru oil on my last few dozen arrows, duco has worked fine for me. No problems yet.
how long did you let the tru oil cure?
I have also used Ducco with Tru oil. I do remember letting the shafts sit a week before fletching. I later found out finishes like that can take a month to really cure.
These days I save my Tru oil. I had a heck of a time getting it to CA. Even ordered it direct and they cancelled my order. I had to boot leg it from AZ.
I have used that combo for years on wood shafts with no problems.
Thanks again!
