Today we went to a local 3-D Ken T.[KAT on here] and my wife who has only been shooting off and on for 2 years or so. Ken shot pretty good as always, and me.......I shot like a bum, :scared: Actually I was pretty proud of her. I set her up with a 14" Morrison ILF with Black Max limbs, 25#@25" and it fits her well. As bad as I shot it was still a great morning.
OH Ron.. Shame on you... LOL
Don't feel bad, my wife is starting to pressure me too on the 3D. But I love it...
Ha! Today you and tomorrow me.
Always a fun day on a 3-D course with friends.
My wife out shoots me when we cold shoot .
Most every time her first arrow is on the mark .
The only way I out shoot her is after a few arrows and she starts to get tired .
But like she says " it's the first arrow that counts . "
I am sure you were just being gentlemanly.
:clapper:
....see,,,,thats why I don't buy my wife a bow....lol!!!
I just knew she has been holding back when we shoot at Jeffs' so as not to embarass us old guys.
You might be right huntmaster70......she's sneaky like that.
Ron,
I went by Pine Tree on my way to Meco this morning. I wish I had known they were having a shoot because I would have stopped to say hello.
Rick
It would have been good to see ya' Mr. Rendo!!
Sounds like a good day although the heat may have played a role" in your "off day??//
:clapper: Congrats to the Mrs.
you are a lucky man Ron, I wish I could get my lady interested in the sport.
You predicted your own defeat the day I picked up the bow.
The family that shoots together stays together!
:biglaugh: True Lee......I need to watch my mouth........
Missed you guys at the Muzzy!
By the by, she only out-shot you if she shot from the same stakes. See way too many shoots with "woman's" stakes. Ridiculous.
Only 2 times did she move up......the other 28 targets she right with the boys......trust me, she beat me fair and square.
You are so lucky to have a wife who will shoot with you. Years ago I tried to get my wife interested. Her reply was "If you don't make me go to the archery range, I won't make you go to the mall". I figured that was a pretty good deal, all things considered.
Sounds like fun!
When I read friendly threads/posts like this it kind of makes me wish I lived closer to you guys.
