A big congratulations to Brady Ellison for winning the Bronze Medal at the Olympics!!!!
X2 well done
That's great! He's been to good to have not won a medal in the individual event.
An observation: I've been watching the shooting streaming live and noticed that my shooting has improved from watching the best.
Mike
The French archer who got silver is a bowhunter using often trad gear
Laurent, do you know him ? I myself would compete in Olympic shooting, but I would quickly run out of arrows, not finding most of them after I shoot !
Chuck
Do any of our members shoot Olympic style as well as bowhunt? If so, does any aspect of one style enhance the other?
I love watching them shoot, men or women. It sure is better than ping - pong.

I shoot Olympic recurve and I think it definitely helps my trad shooting. Strength control alignment expansion and release
I did shoot both at the same time, but because of the differences in practice routine, styles and equipment, it did not help when shooting instinctive.

Yeah, I saw that. You can watch ping pong but no archery. Pathetic!
Yep. Congrats to Brady! I really enjoyed the archery. I took notice of their forms. Very impressive! Can't believe they can hold their anchor as long as they do.
Chuck I don't know him personally but he is known as an avid bowhunter and a strong support for bowhunting
Thoroughly enjoy studying and contemplating the Olympic archer's shot execution.
Have found myself routiinely viewing past Olympic Archer videos.
Who won the Gold, Korea..?
S. Korea won the gold. I watched the finals and got to see the shoot off that sent Korea to the gold round and Brady to the bronze. He had been exceptional and in the shoot off had a blink and sent an arrow into the 8 ring. All I could think was he thought about some aspect of his form or shot sequence. I could so identify with that one moment of focus shift and the arrow strays. It was great to see so much of it broadcast.
