Title: Ants in trail camera's.
Post by: Littlejake on July 30, 2016, 01:34:00 PM
Went to change cards in a couple of my camera's this morning.

I opened one of them up and found it just full of little P!$$ ants. Have any of you had that trouble? What did you use to keep them out?

How did they get in?They will fry your circuit board if they get to it.

I once didn't get the little door all the way closed and had the same thing happen. Like JimB said, they'll fry it.  That camera is a paperweight now.  If it still works try to get them whooped off and you should be fine.

I had em actually get in camera lens once ,and everywhere else. Dead camera, now if they are in it or on it, I move camera to a different tree.

Permethrin sprayed on base of tree will help.
