I asked him a few questions here on TG about string material and silencers and took his suggestions. When the string first came it seemed to me a bit short and braced a bit high, I have little experience with the new modern string materials, but was a little worried as i have heard that the bcy-x doesn't stretch much if at all.
I should have just started shooting instead of worrying like an old house wife because after a few rounds in the back yard the string settled into the perfect 6 1/4" brace I wanted . I am very happy with this string and I am also loving the wool felt scallop silencers.
Thanks Daniel, it was a pleasure doing business with you!
I have a few of his strings and they are very well made. High quality strings!
I have had 3 of his so far all perfect, now I need a couple more for my shorter bow too. Knock Knock Daniel, LOL
He makes a fair string but he talks funny and smells bad. :p
This thread reminded me I need to tell him how I want my next string made up. :wavey:
I've had the same thing happen, string measured short out of the package, etc. But nothing to worry about, they settle in right where they should. Daniel does great work! I have both his D97 and BCY-X strings. He sure has a lot of colors to choose from too!

Clay,
thank you for your kind words. I'm not sure what "standard" is, but I always send my strings to where they will be short because I measure them under pressure. So while they are in transit, they will settle. Much like your bow strings will do if you leave one unstrung for a while, and then when you put the string on your bow, it settles in to the length you ordered. That way it eliminates a little "break in" time. In theory, when it is broken in, it SHOULD be at the exact length you ordered.
Thank you again for your order and trust.
Daniel
Both of y'all smell bad after a few days chasing hogs! We're not gonna talk about me tho!!
I do need another string too Ole Danny boy!
I ordered a string from him a while back for my Samick and it's great. I liked it so much I ordered another one for my wife's bow over the weekend.
He's good people
He seem to be an alright fellow and I haven't even bought a string :D
Cooks a mean brisket too!
