I always anticipate the new issue in my subscription to Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. I read em cover to cover with the rare exception of a couple of subjects I don't care about. For example, I like to bowfish (haven't done for years though) but I don't like reading about it.
In a recent e-mail, TBM alerted subscribers about back issues for sale. I bought 30 of them ($2 each). What a gold mine! Whether 1993 or 2008 these are great reads, as fresh to me as new off the shelf.
Things I notice:
1. Many articles are much longer.
2. Ads are out-of-date
3. Some articles cover bowhunters who at the time were living but have now passed. Those are sad ones.
4. Some current bowyers weren't making bows yet.
I'd buy another 20 or so but it will be difficult to keep straight what I already have...I don't like buying duplicates.
Sounds awesome! Where can i get these? Cant seem to find them on the site (probably overlooking them.)
If you can find the latest issue there is a two page spread of options near the back of the mag. it is a goldmine!
I used to hang on to magazines and re-read them from time to time. At one time, I had about 2 years worth of TBM and about a year's worth of PA. My wife harassed me so much I finally threw them away. What a waste!
I had them all eight up to last year's except the first issue. Took them to a stick bow shoot at someone's house and brought them to share with everyone.
I enjoyed them and hope they do too. I like the bowyers interviews the best.
Great magazine and a great deal. I'm also excited because I'll be having an article in the next publication! My first with TBM.
Congratulations Chris!
If you subscribe to on-line version of TBM you can download pdf version of back issues . Not like holding the magazine--but then the Mrs. can't complain about the back issues laying around.
I couldn't find on the site again either. However, as noted above, an order form is in the current issue.
I have been buying and reading the Magazine for years now. I just can't seem to be able to bring my self to get rid of them. Once in a while I just brake them out and just thumb through them. The wife has gotten over it, I think.lol.
"For example, I like to blowfish (haven't done for years though) but I don't like reading about it."
Hmmm?
I have a bunch of them that I don't read anymore. Shoot me a PM and maybe I can find the issues that you want.
I can still remember when the first issue hit the shelf, and I believe I have every issue published. One of these days I'll have to donate them to someone.
Thanks Norm! I meant bowfish...blow fishing gets my lips all scaly.

I've been collecting them for years. The only sad thing is the older issues were much thicker with bigger articles. Today's issues seem so thin. It's the only magazine I read cover to cover, honestly.
