Are these still in production? Bowyer was Steve Welte out of WI.
Thanks.
My first custom was a Deathwish in 93. Dont know answer to your ?
I just did a search. I found some info on Facebook. Seems company is under new ownership.
Does anyone know anything about the quality of these bows?
I have an opportunity at a basically brand new one from about 2001 or so.
Looks like a nice longbow, but don't know much about longbows. Thx.
Steve's daughter has taken over the making of Deathwish bows. She is a master woodworker and the bows reflect her talents. The entire family was at the Traditional shoot in Coon Rapids, MN this last June.
I own a Deathwish bow and like it a lot. It is 68" long and draws 59#. It feels good and looks good. If the bow is in good shape, I would say "Go for it!".
Steve built me a bow back in 1999... sure wish I hadn't sold it. They are great bows!!!
Steve
I second what a Caboo said. Talked to Steve and his daughter. The bows looked great.
My son has one and loves it
Try to find out if Charles Bronson shoot one. If he did, then they must be a quality bow.
I had Osage Deathwish years ago and traded on here for a Red River recurve. I wish I had it back now!!!

I have a 62" 50# deathwish. I really like mine. I met Steve at the WTA banquet. His daughter is building the bows now. Good people.
