I contacted these guys a couple of times and I get no answer and my emails get bounced back to me. Might be a server problem with letting my emails through but wanted to check here first. Any info would be great.
You might try Two Tracks Bows (sponsor here) as Chuck is building the Shrew line.
Sorry Matt. Try www.ronlaclair@wowway.com (http://www.ronlaclair@wowway.com) You won't have any luck getting hold of Chuck
We've got some new forms made for both the recurves and longbows and the new bows are even better than they were before. :archer:
No problem getting hold of Chuck
Biggamefish, sent you a PM.

Wow....
I have not been on TG for a few months, and i come for a visit last night and thats what i see Roger. I'm not busting anybody's chops, I'm just saying that you gotta try to contact me before you can say i'm hard to get a hold of. Right?
I'll admit I haven't tried lately Chuck, but I did try a couple times awhile ago. I should have said Chuck is hard to get hold of sometimes...sorry about that. :campfire:
Jim Belcher of Sky Archery and Merlin Calkins are currently building the Shrews. Jim has made new forms using CAD and C&C technology. I'm excited with the results of the improved limb design.
Must be busy building quality bows again, eh' Chuck?
For the record and to future Two Tracks customers: Chuck is easy to find if a person wants to. I can text, phone or email him anytime I feel like a chat.
I've owned more than one.....great bows all around....have another on order....wish I would have never sold them but was talked out of them by folks that wanted then....not again.
I really like the design. Nice and light and easy to maneuver.
Are you going back to the bow bolt design? I much prefer that to the sleeve design....
ALex
I had too many problems with the Bow Bolt so we discontinued it. The Sleeve works very well on the Shrew handles.
Shrews keep getting better with redesigning can't wait to see the new designs.
Any pics of the new TD sleeve you are now using Ron?
Here's a Shrew with the sleeve system that some others are using. It's strong and solid with no alinement problems.

That looks nice. I have that system on one of my bows and it has been flawless since purchased new several years ago.

Ron,
Will they be able to build enough so you will be able to have a small inventory of general poundage stock bows?

That's the plan. :)

I've been enjoying the pictures you've been sending me. Can't wait to see it in person. I like the name, seeing as how your nickname is Lobo and you've got a strong paw!
Very exciting and I'm a big fan of that takedown system. Might have to pickup a new shrew :archer2:
I had my hands on the Lobos Paw prototype. Ron is a very critical bow-man....to my eye it was perfect, Ron wanted it to be tweaked a bit. I think this next generation of Shrew bows will be the benchmark of quality and design, literally a lifetime achievement for my good friend. Think that through....Ron is 80 years old and still striving to make his products better. I admire that a great deal. :notworthy:

Yep.
Cool name for a bow.
Got a strung profile of that new bow?
Also, are the older Super Shrew designs still available? (If it ain't broke don't fix it).
Here's my 64#er that I STUPIDLY sold!

Sweet looking bow.

.....and how's that working out for you? ;)
How long was that bow Terry? I've always wanted to try a Shrew. Shot a McCullough a big, but it was too light poundage for me and a little short I think.
I'm guessing that's a McCullough built Shrew that Terry has(d). Looks like his work. John McCullough built 58" and 60" Super Shrew Samurai's for Ron at that time. Mine is a 58" 55#@27 that John Built in 1999. Of course, I've still got my senses....and that bow. :p

I"ve gotten by ....as you well know...but I sure missed those two bows!!!
Yes, that one was built by John.
58 inches 64#s....also I had a 56 incher @ 56#@28 ....and the guy I sold it to said he would offer it back to me 1st, but I doublt that's going to happen...
Terry, now that you're a little longer in the tooth have you come down a bit in bow weight? :readit:
