The 2016 Maine Traditional Archers summer gathering wrapped up today. Attendance was down due to forecasts of heavy rain, but everyone who came had a great time.
The club does a great job of keeping up with target quality. there are five 15 target courses that work through Maine woods.

Oh and don't forget the lobster dinner, clout shoot and red dot shoot.

Next big Maine archery event:
Maine State 3d championship shoot (compound and trad) at Somerset Bowhunters club in Skowhegan, ME on Sunday August 7, 2016.
Hope many can make it.
Nice pics Mike. Thanks to everyone who came and had a good time despite the weather. I have never found a friendlier, easy to please group of people.
Dan
That looks like a very good shoot and a great time. Wish I could be there. Myself and a few friends shoot rain or shine here at our local shoots. We have a great time in the rain and its not crowded. Camping isnt the same though.
Once again, I had a ball at the Poke and Hope. The rain stopped as I got out of the car and didn't start again until I got back in, nine hours later. In between, I flung something like 95-100 arrows on five courses, got to see a friend enjoy the day and ate fresh lobster and wonderful blueberry cake.
Thanks, Maine Traditional Archers!
